Quranic Verses

Many a generation has been destroyed by Our command since Noah’s time. Your Lord is well aware and fully observant of the sins of His servants.[The Holy Quran 17:17]

If anyone desires immediate benefits, We hasten to grant whatever benefits We will in the present life to whomsoever We please, but thereafter We decree for him Hell wherein he shall burn, condemned and rejected. [The Holy Quran 17:18]

But he who desires the Hereafter and strives for it in the manner he should, and is a true believer, his striving will come to fruition.[The Holy Quran 17:19]

To all of these as well as those We shall provide the wherewithal of this life in the present world by dint of your Lord’s Bounty; and from none shall the Bounty of your Lord be withheld.[The Holy Quran 17:20]

See, how We have exalted some above others in this world, and in the Life to Come they will have higher ranks and greater degrees of excellence over others. [The Holy Quran 17:21]

Do not set up any other god with Allah lest you are rendered humiliated and helpless. [The Holy Quran 17:22]

Burning the Holy Quran

The Holy Quran is the most sacred object in the daily lives of us and burning copies of the holy book is considered an offense against Allah.

“The Quran is protected in the hearts of people and memorized, so it is always protected,”.

Above pic is the Sample of Burned Islamic books and Holy Quran, by US Air force Soldiers @ Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan.

we condemn their action regarding burning the Holy quran, its a disrespect/Unacceptable action for all muslims of the world, and showing the  low administration and Management in the Forces of USA.

Verily, in the remembrance of ALLAH do hearts find rest (The Holy Quran, 13:28)

“Say: Nothing will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us: He is our Protector: And on Allah let the believers put their trust.” [ The Holy Quran, 9:51]

Dua; the Weapon of the believer

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (S) said: “A man who weeps for fear of Allaah will not enter Hell until the milk goes back into the udder, and dust produced (when fighting) for the sake of Allaah and the smoke of Hell will never coexist.”

[Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1633; al-Nasaa’i, 3108; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani]

“until the milk goes back into the udder” is a metaphor for it being impossible, as in the verse where Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “and they will not enter Paradise until the camel goes through the eye of the needle”

[The Noble Quran, Al-A’raaf 7:40]. Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi.

A Beutiful Hadith

Narrated by Abu Huraira (R.A): Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:
"There is a group of Allaah's angels who move about the streets searching for the people who mention Allaah (swt). When they find a group doing that, they call each other, "Here is what you are looking for." Then they cover that group with their wings right up to the sky.
When these angels return to the heavens, their Lord asks them, although He knows the answer, "What were My Servants saying?"
They say, "They were describing Your holiness and greatness, and were busy praising and glorifying You."
Allaah (swt) then asks, "Have they seen Me?" The angels reply, "By Allaah! They have not seen You."
Allaah (swt) says, "What would they have done if they could see me?" The angels reply, "They would then be even more busy in their worship, glorification, and praise."
Then Allaah (swt) asks, "What did they want from Me?" The angels reply, "They asked You for Jannah (Heaven)."
Allaah (swt) says, "Have they seen it?" They answer, "No, by You! They have not seen it."
Allah (swt) says, "What would they have done if they had seen it?" The angels answer, "Had they seen it, they would desire it more eagerly, and would work harder to deserve it."
Then Allaah (swt) asks, "From what thing did they want Me to protect them?" The angels answer, "They wanted to be protected from Hell."
Allaah (swt) says, "Have they seen it?" They answer, "No, by You! They have not seen it."
Allaah (swt) says, "What would they have done if they had seen it?" The angels answer, "Had they seen it, they would have feared it and run from it even more."
Then Allaah (swt) says, "Be My witnesses: I have forgiven them!"
One of the angels then says, "But among them was a person who is not one of them. He had simply come for something he needed."
Allaah (swt) says, "I have forgiven him too, just because he happened to sit with them. Anyone who sits with those people will not be a loser."
(Sahih Bukhari Volume 8: 417)

Almighty Allah (SWT)

“Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things,
Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed, and He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving.”
[The Holy Quran, Surrah Al-Mulk 67:1-2]

“Is, then, He Who creates as one who creates not?”
[The Holy Quran Surrah, Al-Nahl 16:17]

“Yet they have taken besides Him other gods that created nothing but are themselves created . . .”
[The Noble Quran, Surrah Al-Furqaan 25:3]

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Right Hand of Allaah is full and (its fullness) is not decreased by any spending; it is overflowing by night and day. Think of what He has spent since He created the heavens and the earth, but all this spending had not decreased what is in His Right Hand.” He said: “And his Throne is over the water, and in His other Hand is the power to bring about death, and He raises some people and brings other low.”

[Sahih Al Bukhari, (6869) and Muslim (1659)]

Al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar (may Allah have mercy on him) said: In the report of Ishaaq ibn Raahawayh it says “and the Throne is over the water.” The apparent meaning is that it was like that when the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) spoke these words. The apparent meaning of the hadeeth which comes before it is that the Throne was over the water before the creation of the heavens and earth, and the two hadeeth when taken together indicate that it is still over the water. End quote.

[Fath al-Baari, 20/496]

Virtues of The Jummah

It was narrated from Aws ibn Aws that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best of your days is Friday. On that day Adam (peace be upon him) was created; on that day he died; on that day the Trumpet will be blown and on that day all of creation will swoon. So send a great deal of blessings upon me, for your blessings will be shown to me.” They said, “O Messenger of Allaah, how will our blessings upon you be shown to you when you have turned to dust?” He said, “Allaah has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the Prophets, peace be upon them.”

Narrated by Abu Dawood, 1047; classed as saheeh by Ibn al-Qayyim in his comments on Sunan Abi Dawood, 4/273; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 925.

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best day on which the sun rises is Friday. On it Adam was created, on it he was admitted to Paradise and on it he was expelled therefrom.”

[Narrated by  Sahih Muslim, 1410]

This hadeeth includes some of the reasons why Friday is regarded as special.

Al-Nawawi said:

Al-Qaadi ‘Iyaad said: The apparent meaning is that these virtues do not mean that Friday is regarded as special because Adam was expelled on a Friday and the Hour will begin on a Friday. Rather it is meant to explain what momentous events took place and will take place on this day, so that people will make the most of this day to do righteous deeds, so as to attain the mercy of Allaah and ward off His punishment. This is the view of al-Qaadi.

Abu Bakr ibn al-‘Arabi said in his book al-Ahwadhi fi Sharh al-Tirmidhi: All of these events are good and add to the virtue of Friday.  The expulsion of Adam from Paradise is the reason why his offspring and the Messengers, the Prophets, the righteous and the awliya’ exist. He was not expelled from it as such, but rather it was for a purpose, then he will return to it. With regard to the Hour beginning on a Friday, the reason is so that the reward may be hastened for the Prophets, believers in truth, awliya’ and others, and their honour and high status may be made manifest. This hadeeth points to the virtues of Friday and its high status in relation to the other days.

A Beutiful Hadith…

Saheeh Muslim mentions a story where some men came to question Umar ibn Al-Khattaab during his khilaafah about the leadership of Makkah,
they asked, “Who… do you use to govern Makkah?”
He said, “Ibn Abzaa.” They asked, “And who is Ibn Abzaa?” Umar replied,
“A freed slave from those we freed.” They remarked, “You left a freed slave in charge of the people of the Valley (the noble tribes of the Quraysh)!?!?”
So he answered them, “Verily he is a reader of the Book of Allah and is knowledgeable about the obligations of the Muslims. Haven’t you heard…
the statement of your Messenger: “Verily Allah raises some people by this Book and lowers others by it.”

Patience and its Dimension

Assalamualykum Warahmatullahe wa barakatuh, dear brothers & sisters LETS GET SERIOUS ABOUT GRATITUDE!
Hadhrat ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab once said, “If gratitude and endurance were two camels, I would not mind which of the two I mounted. “Both gratitude and endurance are provisions for the Muslim on his journey towards his Lord.
This was why the following verse has been repeated many times in the Noble Qur’an,“Surely, therein are signs for ever patient [and] thankful person.
[The Noble Quran Surrah Ibrahim (14), Ayah 5.]

“Indeed, Allah is with the patient.” [2:153]
“And Allah loves the patient.” [3:146]

~ Ten Things We Waste ~

1. Our Knowledge – Wasted by not taking action with it.

2. Our Action – Wasted by committing them without sincerity.

3. Our Wealth – Wasted by using on things that will not bring us ajr (Good rewards). We waste our money, our status, our authority, on things which have no benefit in this life or in Akhirah (Hereafter).

4. Our Hearts – Wasted because they are empty from the love of Allah, and the feeling of longing to go to Him, and a feeling of peace and contentment. In it’s place, our hearts are filled with something or someone else.

5. Our Bodies – Wasted because we don’t use them in ibadah (Acts of worship) and service of Allah.

6. Our Love – Our emotional love is misdirected, not towards Allah, but towards something/someone else.

7. Our Time – Wasted; not used properly, to compensate for that which has passed, by doing what is righteous to make up for past deeds

8. Our Intellect – Wasted on things that are not beneficial, that are detrimental to society and the individual, not in contemplation or reflection.

9. Our Service – Wasted in service of someone who will not bring us closer to Allah, or benefit in dunyaa (This world).

10. Our Dhikr (Rememberance of Allah) – Wasted, because it does not effect us or our hearts if not done with total sincerity.

Be Always thankful of Almighty Allah :)

A wise man said once to a man who was anxious because of problems in his life:

“I will ask you 3 questions, and you answer me…

is there anything in this Dunya happening without the Will of Allah ?”
“no “ answered the man

“Will your Rizq (sustenance) in this Dunya decrease ? the Rizq which Allah already decreed for you?”
“no”

“will your appointed term (death) be delayed or hastened a single minute, the term which Allah already written for you?
“no”

The wise man said:” so why would you be sad anyway ? just trust in Your Lord and rely on Him and you’ll find happiness, in shaa Allah”

“Never shall afflict us save what Allah has decreed for us; He is our Lord-Master. In Allah let believers put their trust”.

“Qul lan yusibana illa ma katabaAllahu lana, Hua mawlana wa ‘ala Allahi fal yatawakkalil mu’minoun”

On Valentine’s Day – Muslims against Love?

This article is a brief reply to those Christians, Jews and other Non-Muslims who allege that Muslims are against love and hence don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day.

It is a mistake to confuse what they call the day with what the real intentions are behind it. The love referred to on this day is romantic love, taking mistresses and lovers, boyfriends and girlfriends. It is known to be a day of promiscuity and sex for them, with no restraints or restrictions.

They are not talking of pure love between a man and his wife or a woman and her husband, or at least they do not distinguish between the legitimate love in the relationship between husband and wife, and the forbidden love of mistresses and lovers. This festival for them is a means for everyone to express love.

Love in Islam is more general and more comprehensive; it is not restricted only to one kind of love, that between a man and a woman. It is love when we cry for those Muslims being tortured and killed by those evil armies of the west. It is love when we cry looking at the people of Somalia dying out of hunger. It is love when we morally, mentally and financially support those Muslims whose life have been devastated by tyrant rulers like in Syria.

There is no religion which encourages its followers to love and care for one another more than Islam does. This applies at all times and in all circumstances, not just on one particular day. Indeed, Islam encourages us to express our emotions and love at all times , as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If a man loves his brother, let him tell him that he loves him.” (narrated by Abu Dawood, 5124; al-Tirmidhi, 2329; it is saheeh).

And he said: “By the One in Whose hand is my soul, you will not enter Paradise until you truly believe, and you will not truly believe until you love one another. Shall I not tell you of something that, if you do it, you will love one another? Spread (the greeting of) salaam amongst yourselves.” (Narrated by Muslim, 54)

So Oh you celebrators of ‘Eed al-Hubb (the festival of love), you yourself don’t know the history of this evil custom. Oh you who allege us Muslims of being against love, listen to this:

I am not forced to admit to you on this day that I have known love. However, this does not coerce me to allocate one day for the rest of my entire life to regret the killing of the patron saint of love (Valentine) and commemorate him. I am not obliged to show love to those who are massacring the concept of true love in my country, killing my dreams and corrupting my youth. I am not obliged to behave like an innocent child, to receive a red heart by the right hand while they treacherously stab me from behind with their left hand. I am not required to commemorate Astarte’s (one of so called Greek goddess) rivers of tears for Adonis (one of so called Greek goddess of beauty and desire), while my people’s rivers of blood are shed in our streets. Anemone should grow only on the blood of the Ummah (nation), not on tears of illicit love.

History has been crushed under the feet of those who came to my country. I want to tell them: You will never be dearer to me than Huda and ‘Abeer (two young Muslim girls who fell victims to the enemies’ brutal attacks in Gaza and Iraq). Your yellow smile will never deceive me to forget Imaan and Mohammed Al-Durra (Palestinian children killed by the Zionists). I will not be able to hide my face and share your joy and forget the sorrows of my Ummah.

I am not coerced to live as a yes-man while they compel me to remember those whom I love one day, for I have many loved ones. If they have Valentine, I have someone much greater than him, Muhammad (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam) who taught me to dedicate all my life and days for love.

He taught me that when I love someone, I should quickly come to him, not wait until February 14, or any other date, to tell him how I feel. He taught me that a gift (regardless of its value and color) is the messenger of love. Therefore he said: “Exchange gifts and you will love each other.” He taught me a way to be more beautiful than Adonis and superior to Venus. Therefore, he said: “Allaah is beautiful and He loves beauty.“

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught me that Allaah The Almighty loves me because I live with love. Therefore, He said: “My love is due for those who love each other for My sake, meet together for My sake and visit each other for My sake.” He promised me that I will be with him if I love him, for love of the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam) is more than just words. He said: “One will be resurrected with those whom he loves.“

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) directed me to the verse in which Allaah The Exalted Says (what means): {Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous.} [The Holy Quran 43: 67]

He told me that the essence of my love in this world is love for Allaah The Almighty and love for His sake. In a Hadeeth (narration), he said: “The one who loves for the sake of Allaah, hates for the sake of Allaah, gives for the sake of Allaah and withholds for the sake of Allaah has perfect faith.“

Hadhrat Muhammad (PBUH) taught me to choose those whom I love in order not to regret my love, Allaah The Exalted Says (what means): {And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, “Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way. Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend. He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me. And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter.”} [The Holy Quran 25: 27-29]

As for those who love each other for the sake of Allaah The Almighty, He will shield them on the Day of Judgment under His shade when there will be no shade but His and include them in His love. On the Day of Judgment, Allaah The Almighty will call them, saying: “Where are those who love each other for My Majesty? Today, I will shield them under My shade, as today there is no shade but Mine.” He will praise them, saying: “Those who love each other for My sake for them [are] pulpits of light, the prophets and the martyrs will look at them with admiration.”

Cursed is this Valentine’s Day whose cherishers from the non-Muslims abuse our Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam) with their cartoons and movies. How can I participate in Valentine’s Day on the occasion of which the parliament of the Netherlands said to the whole world, “If Muslims want to live here, they have to rip up half the Quran and throw it away?”

May Allaah The Almighty expose the true face of those who call to such abominations! If some weak-minded Muslims have been deceived by your false, beguiling and distorted media, there are many others who have seen through the facade of illicit love that you promote.

Celebrating Valentine’s Day, from an Islamic Prospective…

The Ummah is Bleeding, can We be Celebrating???

Roses are Red, Violets are Blue

…Valentines Day is definitely not for YOU!!!

“And whoever seeks a religion[a way of life] other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers”
[The Holy Quran-Aal ‘Imraan 3:85]

The Messenger of Allah Muhammad (PBUH ) told us that groups of his ummah would follow the enemies of Allah (swa) in some of their rituals and customs. The Prophet (Muhammad (PBUH ) said:

“You will certainly follow the ways of those who came before you, span by span, cubit by cubit, until even if they were to enter a lizard’s hole, you would follow them.” We said, “O Messenger of Allah Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH ), (do you mean) the Jews and Christians?” He said, “Who else? !”
[Sahih Bukhari]

The Prophet (Muhammad (PBUH ) said:
“Whoever imitates a people is one of them.”
[Narrated by Ahmad]

History: Who was Valentine? Why is this day observed? Valentine’s Day began as a pagan ritual started by Romans in the 4th century BCE to celebrate “Feast of the Wolf” on February 15, also known as the Feast of Lupercalius to honor the god Lupercus. The main attraction of this ritual was a lottery held to distribute young women to young men for “entertainment & pleasure”-until the next year’s lottery. Christianity tried, without success, to stop the evil celebration of Lupercalia. The only success it had was in changing the name from Lupercalia to St. Valentine’s Day. It was done in CE 496 by Pope Gelasius, in honor of some Saint Valentine. There are as many as 50 different Valentines in Christian legends.

How can anyone in the Ummah really enjoy this Haraam Occasion when there is so much brutality and suffering going on in the world today. The rivers of blood flow freely from the veins of our brothers and sisters from across the Muslim world. Celebrating unislamic occassions like Valentines Day , New year, Christmas and shouting the names of musical heroes and watching Bollywood & Hollywood Movies drown out the screams coming from the dungeons of Uzbekistan where brothers and sisters are boiled alive in vats of water. How many will take out valuable time and spend it for the upliftment of Islam? How many will sacrifice for our kin in Gaza , Kashmir, Afghanistan, Chechnya, Palestine, and Iraq?

There are many more killing fields as well across the Asian and Arab world. Will you climb on theatre chairs and express your rage over Guantanamo Bay and other gulags where our brothers and sisters are being tortured, raped, sodomized, beaten, and burned? Or will you just switch off and enjoy with the Kuffar in celebrating this evil custom?

Oh,Muslims, wake up! The Ummah is not bleeding; it is haemorrhaging.

Anas Bin Malik (R.A ) said:
“When the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (PBUH )  came to Madina, the people had two holidays from the days of Jahiliyyah(ignorance). He (pbuh ) said, “When I came to you, you had two holidays you used to celebrate in jahiliyyah. Allah (SWA) has replaced them for you with better days, the day of Fitr and the day of slaughter (Adha).”

VALENTINES DAY IS AN UNILSAMIC CUSTOM THAT HAS NO BASIS IN ISLAM AND IS PRESENTLY BEING PROMOTED BY CAPITALIST FOR COMMERCIAL REASONS…

Listen to the pain of your global family! The enemies of Allah (SWA) are destroying Islam and we are following in their footsteps!
Be pro active and DO NOT- ENGAGE, SUPPORT OR ENCOURAGE THIS EVIL….!!!

If you were intending to engage in this haraam practice and Now changed your mind, then do a noble deed by donating the money to an ISLAMIC CHARITABLE CAUSE which will make you the BELOVED of ALLAH (SWA) and will earn you an immense reward in the everlasting life of the hereafter!

Religious Festivals have become Business Festivals now….

~ Dua Of The Day ~

“Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.” Surat Al Furqan [The Holy Quran 25:74]

╰⊰ FEELING DOWN? RECITE THIS DUA :)

Treating well with woman!

Narrated By Abu Huraira (RA):

Allah’s Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, “Treat women nicely, for a women is created from a rib, and the most curved portion of the rib is its upper portion, so, if you should try to straighten it, it will break, but if you leave it as it is, it will remain crooked. So treat women nicely.”

[Shahih Bukhari – Volume 4 – Book 55 – Hadith 548]

Qur’anic Supplications

Qur’anic Supplications

It’s not easy to be strong when you are weak
It’s not easy to be patient when you are restless
It’s not easy to be happy when you are depressed
But It’s not hard to lift up your hands in supplication to ALLAH and ask ALLAH to make it alright.!

The meaning of “Dua” is to go on asking Allah about something either spiritual or relating to any material as well. It really becomes interesting as when we ask something repeatedly from humans they began to get feed up and begin to mind if you ask any such thing again. Surely most of the people doing such stuff come up with excuses that they tried their best and stuff. Surely it’s a natural fact human are unable to fulfill the desires and needs of human’s. This scenario is all together opposite when it comes from asking Allah what ever a person wants. He minds if a human doesn’t asks him his needs and doesn’t pray as, Allah created us and it is to whom we all humans have to return too.

One is able to find some wonderful verses in the Quran giving importance on the praying to the lord (Allah) and asking him for one desire and needs. Like in the Holy Quran Allah says “I will respond to you invocations” (90.60). What required by a person is have trust in Allah all the time when he is going making a Dua. Along with this the belief of the person matters a lot when one is asking Allah, some one praying for sake of getting something might not be able to get thetrue and right fruit of a Dua made.

There are several chapters of the Holy Quran, that are actually Dua’s, like Surrah Fatiha. There fore being Muslims it is our sole responsibility that we should go one learning the book of Allah the Quran and try to increase about knowledge of Quran and Dua’s.

~✿~ LET’S CHANGE BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE! ~✿~

“Verily! Allah will not change the (good) condition of a people as long as they do not change their state (of goodness) themselves”. [The Holy Quran, Surah Ar-Rad, 11]

The Virtues and Sunnah’s of Jummah

Hadhrat Ali Ibn Abu Taalib (RA) narrated: on the pulpit in the mosque of Kufah: When Friday comes, the devils go to the markets with their flags, and involve people in their needs and prevent them from the Friday prayer. The angels come early in the morning, sit at the door of the mosque, and record that so-and-so came at the first hour, and so-and-so came at the second hour until the imam comes out (for preaching).
When a man sits in a place where he can listen (to the sermon) and look (at the imam), where he remains silent and does not interrupt, he will receive a double reward. If he stays away, sits in a place where he cannot listen (to the sermon), silent, and does not interrupt, he will receive the reward only once. If he sits in a place where he can listen (to the sermon) and look (at the imam), and he does not remain silent, he will have the burden of it. If anyone says to his companion sitting besides him to be silent (while the imam is preaching), he is guilty of idle talk. Anyone who interrupts (during the sermon) will receive nothing (no reward) on that Friday.
Then he (the narrator) says in the end of this tradition: I heard the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) say so.
(Abu Dawood 1046)

1. Jummah preparations should begin on Thursday such as clipping the nails, removing of the hair etc (Ihya aul-Uloom, vol. 1, page 161)
2. To have a bath (Ghusl) (Bukhari, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah)
On one Friday, Rasulallah said: “O Muslims! Allah Ta’ala has made this day a day of Eid. So have a bath on this day, whoever has perfume should apply it, and use the Miswaak.
(Ibn Majah)
3. To use Miswaak (Ibid)
4. To use Attar (Perfume) (Ibid)
5. To wear nice clothes (Abu Dawood, Chapter of Ghusl on the day of Jummah)
6. To proceed early as possible to the Masjid for Jummah
Rasulallah (Pbuh) said: “On the day of Jummah, the angels stand at the entrance of that Masjid in which Jummah salaat is to be offered. They write down the name of the person who enters the Masjid first, and thereafter the name of the person who follows, and they continue doing this. The person who entered first will receive the reward of sacrificing a camel in the path of Allah; the one who followed him will get the reward of sacrificing a cow, thereafter a chicken, thereafter the reward of giving an egg as charity in the path of Allah.
Once the khutbah commences, the angels close the register and begin listening to the khutbah. “
(Sahih Bukhari and Muslim)
7. To walk to the Masjid if possible for every step is a reward of a years Nafl Fast (Tirmidhi)
8. One should listen very attentively to the khutba even if one does not understand. One should not speak or even warn another to keep quite while the khutba is in progress.
9. To try to sit as close as possible to the Imaam. (Ibn Majah, Tirmidhi)
10. If the Saffs (rows) are already filled, one should not jump over the shoulders of the musallies in order to get to the front. (Abu Dawood)
11. One should not fiddle with clothes or fingers but listen attentively (Ibn Majah)
12. When Rasulallah (Pbuh) name is mentioned in the khutba then it is permissible to recite durood in the heart only without the movement of the lips or tongue.
13. Between the two khutba’s one should make dua. It is permissible to make dua without raising hands or moving the lips (I.e. dua should be made in the heart only without the movement of the lips or the tongue) (Aadaab -E – Zindagee)
14. To read: Surah Al A’ala (Sura no 87) in the first rakaat of Jummah Salah and Surah Gaathia (Surah no 88) in the second rakaat. (Sahih Bukhari)
15. Related by Hakim and Bayhaqi, from Abu Sa`id “Whoever recites Surat al-Kahf on Friday, light shall shine forth for him between the two Fridays.” (Ibn Hajar, Talkhis al- Habir)
16. Rasulallah (Pbuh) is reported to have said, “Recite Durood upon me in abundance on the day of Jummah since they are presented to me.” (Ibn Majah)
17 . Making abundant dua on Jummah
Rasulallah (Pbuh) said: “There is such an hour on Friday that if any Muslim makes dua in it, his dua will definitely be accepted.” (Sahih Bukhari, Muslim)

18 . Reciting Durood 80 times after Asr:
According to a Hadith recorded in Tabarani on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Abbas (RA) : Abu Hurraira (RA) reports that the Holy Prophet (Pbuh) said: “Whoever recites the following Durood eighty times immediately after Asr Salaat on Friday, before standing up from his place, Allah will forgive eighty years of sins and grant him the reward equivalent to eighty years of worship.”
19. Abu Hurraira narrated that the Messenger of Allah (Pbuh) said: The five daily prayers, and from one Jummah to the next, are an expiation for whatever sins come in
between, so long as one does not commit any major sin. (Muslim, 233)
20. It was narrated from Abu Hurraira that the Prophet (Pbuh) said: Whoever does Ghusl then comes to Jummah, and prays as much as Allah decrees for him, then listens
attentively until the khutbah is over, then prays with him (the imam), will be forgiven for (his sins) between that and the next Jummah and three more days. (Sahih Muslim, 857)
Al-Nawawi (Ra) said:
The scholars said that what is meant by his being forgiven between the two Jummah and three more days is that a good deed is worth ten like it, so he will be rewarded with ten rewards for each of the good deeds that he did on Friday. Some of our companions said: What is meant by what is between the two Jummah is from Jummah prayer and the khutbah until the same time on the following Friday, so that it will be seven days, no more and no less, then three days are added making ten in all.

21. Coming early to Jummah brings a great reward.
Abu Hurraira (Ra) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (Pbuh) said: “Whoever does Ghusl on Friday like Ghusl for janaabah, then goes to the prayer (in the first hour, i.e., early), it is as if he sacrificed a camel. Whoever goes in the second hour, it is as if he sacrificed a cow; whoever goes in the third hour, it is as if he sacrificed a horned ram; whoever goes in the
fourth hour, it is as if he sacrificed a hen; and whoever goes in the fifth hour it is as if he offered an egg. When the imam comes out, the angels come to listen to the khutbah.”
(Bukhari, 814 and Muslim, 850)
22. If a person walks to Jummah prayer, for every step he will have the reward of fasting and praying qiyaam for one year.
It was narrated from Aws ibn Aws al-Thaqafi that the Messenger of Allah (Pbuh) said: Whoever does Ghusl on Friday and causes (his wife) to do Ghusl, and sets out early, and comes close to the imam and listens and keeps quiet, for every step he takes he will
have the reward of fasting and praying qiyaam for one year.” (al-Tirmidhi, 496)
Ibn al-Qayyim (Ra) said in Zaad al-Maâ’aad, 1/285:
Finally after quoting the hadith which speak of the virtues of Jummah prayer:
What we have quoted, when taken all together, indicates that the expiation of sins from one Friday to the next is subject to all the conditions mentioned above being met, namely doing
Ghusl, cleaning oneself, putting on perfume, wearing one’s best clothes, walking in a calm and dignified manner, not stepping over people, not pushing between two people, not offending others, praying nafil prayers, listening attentively and avoiding idle speech.
May Allah give us the ability to act upon all of these virtuous deeds and Sunnah of Rasulallah (Pbuh). Ameen,

12 Rabi ul Awwal and Love for Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)

بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم

Love for Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) is what differentiates the believers in the perfection of their Iman (faith). In an authentic hadith related in Bukhari and Muslim, the Prophet (pbuh) said: “None of you believes until he loves me more than he loves his children, his parents, and all people.” In another hadith in Bukhari he said: “None of you believes until he loves me more than he loves himself” and Sayyidina `Umar said: “O Prophet, I love you more than myself.”

Loving the Prophet (pbuh) and following him is a main component of Faith. ALLAH has repeatedly emphasized the believers in the Qur’an to Obey ALLAH and His Messenger (pbuh), and ignoring this Command puts one’s faith in doubt;

So fear ALLAH and set things right between you, and obey ALLAH and His Messenger if you are (in truth) believers. (The Holy Quran, Surrah Al-Anfaal 8:1)

Say (O Muhammad pbuh): “Obey ALLAH and the Messenger (Muhammad pbuh).” But if they turn away, then ALLAH does not like the disbelievers. [The Holy Quran 3:31-32]

Thus it is very important to follow the Prophet (pbuh) to have perfect Imaan (faith), ALLAH says in the Qur’an; Indeed in the Messenger of ALLAH (Muhammad pbuh) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) ALLAH and the Last Day and remembers ALLAH much. [Al-Ahzab; 33:21], so ALLAH has placed a role model in front of us to pursue and adapt our lives according to it, with the guarantee from ALLAH of being the best model which ALLAH likes.

Prophet Muhammad  (pbuh) said in the Farewell hajj sermon;
“Imam Tirmidi has narrated from Sayyidina Jabir ; he states: ‘I saw Nabi (s.a.a.w) in Hajj on the day of Arafat, he was sat on a camel and he said: ‘O people! I am leaving with you such things that if you hold fast to them you will never go astray, they are the book of ALLAH (Quran) and my Sunnah.’

(Jami Tirmidhi)

He further said;
“…The people of Israel divide into divided into 72 sects, my Ummah will divide into 73 sects, all of them will be in the hellfire, and one of them will be in paradise.” We asked “Which one is saved?” The Prophet (saw) said, “The one that is with me and my Companions.”3

[Abdullah ibn Amru, Tirmidhi, Hadith No. 2565 ]

Now keeping these verses of the Qur’an and Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in mind, lets see what was the sunnah of prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his companions in regard to 12th Rabi ul Awwal or the birthday of the prophet (pbuh), in the following extracts:-

“Most historians are silent about the exact date of birth of the Prophet (s.a.w), where as those who do mention it, there are many contradictions and disagreements amongst them.
Muhammad Husain Haykal in the biography of Muhammad (s.a.w) writes :
“Historians have disagreed about the year of Muhammad’s birth. Most of them hold that it took place in “the Year of the Elephant,” i.e. 570 C.E. Ibn ‘Abbas claims that Muhammad (s.a.w) was born on “the Day of the Elephant.” Others claim that he was born fifteen years earlier. Still others claim that he was born a few days, months, or years, after “the Year of the Elephant.” Some even assert that Muhammad was born thirty years and others seventy years later than “the Year of the Elephant.”

Historians have also differed concerning the month of Muhammad’s birth although the majority of them agree that it was Rabi` al Awwal, the third month of the lunar year. It has also been claimed that he was born in Muharram, in Safar, in Rajab, or in Ramadan.

Furthermore, historians have differed as to the day of the month on which Muhammad was born. Some claim that the birth took place on the third, of Rabi` al Awwal; others, on the ninth; and others on the tenth. The majority, however, agree that Muhammad (s.a.w) was born on the twelfth of Rabi` al Awwal, the claim of ibn Ishaq and other biographers.”

The presence of such disagreements on the exact day of his birth, proves that birthdays were not important to the Arabs. Arabs were very well known for their great memorization skills. They used to know the lineage of their families and other Arabs by heart; they used to know hundreds of verses of poetry by heart, a great feat of memorization.

If the birthday of Prophet Muhammad PBUH was such an important celebration, surely they would have remembered it and noted it down. Furthermore, there is also no proof from history that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mentioned his exact date of birth or encouraged his followers to hold milads/mawlid or recite durood loudly on this day.

History proves that Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) never celebrated his own birthday. He used to fast on Mondays irrespective of the month. All that we know for sure is that he was born on a Monday and that deeds are presented to ALLAH on Mondays, which is the reason he used to fast on Mondays. His exact date of birth and even the month is a subject of debate, which further proves the insignificance of birthday celebration of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
Further more none of the Sahaba, his closest companions ever celebrated his birthday, decorated mosques, read aloud poetry in his praise or held milads or took out processions on 12th Rabiul Awal.
So when we say that we dearly love our Prophet saw and therefore there is no harm in displaying this love on 12 Rabiul Awwal, we need to analyze our selves and ask our selves…

If companions of Rasool ALLAH did not celebrate Milad then why are we celebrating it?
Do we love Prophet Muhammd saw more than his closest companions who sacrificed their lives, family , wealth and property for him? Do we love our Prophet (s.a.w) more than these sahaba? Do we know a better way of expressing our love then the sahaba? Are we better Muslims than the Sahaba Karam (ra)? Are we more pious than Abu Bakar and Umar and Ali and usman radiallahu anhum?? Are we more knowledgeable than these companions? Obviously Not!
This tradition of Milads seeped into Muslims culture later on and was not part of original Islam. It is clearly an innovation a new thing added into Islam which is a Bida and therfore should not be celebrated as it was not part of original Islam practiced by the companions at the time of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Rasool ALLAH (s.a.w) him self said:“Whoever has performed a deed which is not in the religion from its inception is rejected (not acceptable to ALLAH)“. (Bukhari and Muslim)

History of Mawlud

The basic earliest accounts for the observance of Mawlid can be found in 8th century Mecca, when the house in which Prophet Muhammad was born was transformed into a place of prayer by Al-Khayzuran (mother of Harun al-Rashid, the fifth and most famous Abbasid caliph).[5] Public celebrations of the birth of Muhammad did not occur until four centuries after his death. It was originally a festival of the Shia ruling class, not attended by the common people, with the first official Mawlid celebrations occurring in Egypt towards the end of the 11th century.[5][6] The early celebrations included elements of Sufic influence, with animal sacrifices and torchlight processions along with public sermons and a feast.[7][8] The celebrations occurred during the day, in contrast to modern day observances, with the ruler playing a key role in the ceremonies.[9] Emphasis was given to the Ahl al-Bayt with presentation of sermons and recitations of the Qur’an. The event also featured the award of gifts to officials in order to bolster support for the ruling caliph.[9]

Abu al-Abbas al-Azafi (1162–1236) established the custom of celebrating Mawlid in Morocco. His son Abu’l-Qasim propagated it throughout the Maghreb.[10]
The first public celebrations by Sunnis took place in twelfth-century Syria, under the rule of Nur ad-Din Zangi Though there is no firm evidence to indicate the reason for the adoption of the Shi’ite festival by the Sunnis, some theorize the celebrations took hold to counter Christian influence in places such as Spain and Morocco.[11] Theologians denounced the celebration of Mawlid as unorthodox,[12] and the practice was briefly halted by the Ayoubides when they came to power, becoming an event confined to family circles.[13] It regained status as an official event again in 1207 when it was re-introduced by Muzaffar ad-din, the brother-in-law of Saladin, in Arbil, a town near Mosul, Iraq.[7][8]

The practice spread throughout the Muslim world, assimilating local customs, to places such as Cairo, where folklore and Sufic practices greatly influenced the celebrations. By 1588 it had spread to the court of Murad III, Sultan of the Ottoman Empire.[5][14] In 1910, it was given official status as a national festival throughout the Ottoman empire. Today it is an official holiday in many parts of the world.[5]

So it is clearly seen that celebrating 12th Rabi ul Awwal was a practice not to be found in the history of Islam till many hundred years after the time of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his companions. The Prophet (pbuh) did not encourage his sahaba to celebrate his birthday and not only that, the following hadith reveal that he disliked to be magnified and exaggerated,

Anas said that none was dearer to them than ALLAH’s Messenger, and they would not stand up when they saw him due to their knowledge that he disliked it. Tirmidhi (Adab – 5:90 # 44) said it is hasan sahih (fair and sound).

He (pbuh) said in another hadith: “Do not praise me in the fashion that the Christians praised `Isa ibn Maryam” (Bukhari 6:478 Bk. 60 Anbiya’ #48 and Ahmad 1:23,24).

It is observed these days that in addition to or as a pretext to showing love to the holy Prophet (pbuh) the mawlid or Eid Milad un Nabi has become a display of celebrating, merrymaking and of some acts which have no evidence of acceptability from the sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) and his companions, but are actually discouraged, like dancing on a beat of a drum etc. Instead of spending the time in such actions we should concentrate on the teachings of the Prophet and make an effort to follow his Sunnah and make it a part of our lives, for true love is not just an outward expression, it is a matter that involves the heart and affects both the outward and the inward. When we truly love someone, then, because of the influence of that love, we dislike to behave in a manner which contradicts with the likings of the loved one. So we can analyze for ourselves that when we claim to love our beloved Prophet (pbuh), do our actions really harmonize with his teachings and preferences. How ironical it is that with a closer observation one can see that those involved in celebrations for the Prophet’s (pbuh) birthday, do not even have a good knowledge about the life history of the Prophet (pbuh). Then one may wonder what kind of expression of love is this, where the method of that expression goes against the norms of the loved one!

Anas bin Maalik (radi Allahu anhu) said: “The Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) came to Madinah and the people had two days when they would play and have fun. He said, ‘What are these two days?’ They said, ‘We used to play and have fun on these days during the Jaahiliyyah (Days of Ignorance). The Messenger of ALLAH (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, ‘ALLAH has given you something better than them, the day of (Eid) Adhaa and the day of (Eid) Fitr.’”
[Sunan Abu Dawood – Classed as Sahih by Shaykh al-Albaani]
Rasoolullah (pbuh) did not mention a third day of eid or the day of his birth as a day of rejoicing and celebrationg.

ALLAH says, “O you who believe! Do not put (yourselves) forward before ALLAH and His Messenger (SAW), and fear ALLAH. Verily! ALLAH is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
O you who believe! Raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet (SAW), nor speak aloud to him in talk as you speak aloud to one another, lest your deeds may be rendered fruitless while you perceive not.” [The Holy Quran, Surrah Al-Hujuraat 1-2]

The Sayings of A’immah Muhaditheen about the History of Celebrating Eid Milad Un Nabi :
The Bid’ah custom of Eid Milad Un Nabi was not established amongst the Ummah after the time of the prophet until six centuries (600 years) had surpassed. There was no evidence from the Companions, Tabi’een, Mujtahideen, Muhaditheen or Awliya of this Ummah to ever have even thought of performing this act of celebrating the birth of the Prophet .Yet, all of these great personalities had even greater knowledge of the Holy Qur’an and Hadith, which the Ahle Bid’ah ‘use’ to support their innovated practice. This act was first performed by a ruling king, Muzafarudeen Ibn Arbal (died 630H) and his friend who was a worldly orientated scholar by the name of Ibn Wahiya Abul Khattab (died 633H), in the Muslim area of Mosul, Iraq in 604 Hijri. (Dowlul Islam, p104)

Imam Ahmed bin Muhammad Misri Maliki رحمه الله writes: ‘That king (Muzafarudeen Ibn Arbal) used to tell the scholars in his time that whatever Ijtihad he would dictate should be adopted and nothing else was to be followed. He managed to select a group from the scholars who were inclined to Duniya to support his view. In this way he started celebrating ‘Milad Un Nabi’ and he is the 1st person amongst the Muslims kings to create this innovation.’ (Al Qawlul Mu’tamit)

To propagate and spread this Bid’ah further, the king would utilise hundreds of thousands of Dinars from the Muslim treasury. Allamah Dhahabi رحمه الله (died 748H) stated: ‘Every year he (this king) would spend 300,000 Dinar on this event. To try to establish proof for this celebration, he commissioned a book written by Ibn Wahiya and for this effort he paid Ibn Wahiya 1000 Dinar in modern day terms. (Dowlul Islam, p103-4)

Hafiz Ibn Hajar Asqalani رحمه الله stated in respect of Ibn Wahiya: ‘He would greatly disrespect and dishonour the pious predecessors and scholars of the past. He was foul tongued (bad language, filthy talk, etc) extremely proud and foolish individual. He was lazy, narrow minded and unmindful in respect of religious works.’ (Lisaanul Meezan, vol 4, p296)

Nowadays there are people who have engulfed themselves in innovated practices (Ahle Bid’at). It is claimed from some of their leaders that a ‘Wahabi’ is that person who is disrespectful of the Awliya ALLAH. The qualities these people attribute to ‘Wahabis’ are ironically the very same qualities that are renowned to the individuals who started the innovation (Bid’ah) of Milad-un-Nabi. Muzafarudeen Ibn Arbal and Ibn Wahiya would greatly disrespect the Awliya and Scholars. These two individuals also held views similar to the Ghair Muqalideen, as they would rely on their own Ijtihad to formulate rulings, leaving aside scholars and religious rulings. Therefore, according to the definition of Ahle Bid’at, they
too must be ‘Wahabi’ themselves! This celebration also serves as a way to dupe simple people, who have little knowledge of Deen but desire it in their lives, in order to preserve a position of power over them.
It is a blessing of ALLAH that even today, those that adhere to the path of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat do not follow such innovated practices.

Further, Ibn Hajar رحمه الله has written that Allamah Ibn Najjar رحمه الله stated: ‘I have found people to be unanimous upon his (Ibn Wahiya) being a liar.’ (Lisaanul Meezan, vol 4, p295)

Ibn Katheer رحمه الله stated: ‘Ibn Wahiya was an untruthful individual. People had forsaken the act of relating Hadith from him and he was regarded untrustworthy. This was due to the fact that his condition was very bad (character).’ (Al Bidaya Wal Nihaya, vol 13, p145)

The Saying of the Scholars and Awliya ALLAH :رحمهم الله
Through the above mentioned references, it is clear how and where this innovation began after the 6th Century Hijri. The question must arise, why then are people still acting upon this today if it is incorrect?
As mentioned above previously, the individual who commenced this practice was a king himself. There is an Arabic saying ( النّاس على دين ملوآهم ) ‘People are upon the religion of their leaders.’ For the layman it is somewhat understandable. However, some of those who have knowledge are well aware that this Bid’ah was not present for 3 blessed generations of this Ummah. They try to falsely establish evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah for this and form their own Qiyas on narrations that have no relation to the birth of the Prophet . This is in fact propaganda against the pure teachings of Islam, to the extent that an individual of immense knowledge and calibre Imam Jalaludin Suyuti رحمه ال(died 911H) had to state: ( ليس فيه نص ولكن فيه قياس ) ‘The permissibility of Mawlud is not established anywhere from the Qur’an or Sunnah. It is only Qiyas.’ (Fe Amalil Mawlood)

From the above saying we can understand that there is no evidence to make the act of Milad-un-Nabi permissible in light of the Qur’an, Sunnah or Ijma. It is only a forcefully fabricated Qiyas to appease the Nafs. Allamah Abdur Rahman Maghribi رحمه الله writes in his Fatawa: ‘Verily, the performing of Milad (as a celebration) is Bid’ah. There is no evidence that the Prophet , the rightly guided companions or A’ima Mujtahideen practiced upon this themselves or ordered others to practice upon it.’ (Fe Shiratil Ilahiyah)
ان عمل المولد بدعة لم يقل به ولم يفعله رسول الله والخلفاء والائمة- (آذافى الشرعة الإ لهيه)

Imam Ahmed bin Muhammad Misri Maliki رحمه الله writes: ‘The scholars of the four schools of Fiqh are all unanimous upon the evil of this action of Milad.’ (Al Qawlul Mu’tamit)

Imam Abu Ishaaq Shatibi رحمه الله writes it is also Bid’ah ‘To take the day of birth of the Prophet and celebrate it as an Eid’. (Al E’tisaam, vol 1, p39)

It is clear that the scholars of the four schools of Fiqh are unanimous in their verdict of declaring the celebration of Eid Milad Un Nabi to be incorrect. How can it not be, as the name of the Prophet is being used to establish that deed wherein, all things are against the teachings of the Prophet ? This is definitely a greater disobedience and disrespect to the Prophet !. Certain things have been taken from the Christian teachings, and some from the manner of the Rawafid (Shia) association to Muharram. The Ahle Bid’ah takes these two evils and combines them under the name of the Prophet, disrespecting the Prophet personality and the teachings of Islam. They proclaim that this deed represents belief and love for the Prophet .

Shah Waliullah Muhaddith Dehlawi رحمه الله writes: ‘The Prophet said: ‘Do not make my grave a place of celebration.’ In this Hadith, the Prophet has prevented any innovation coming into the Deen with respect to the blessed grave. Due to the fact that the Christians and Jews did this very same deed with the graves of their pious people.’ (Hujatullahi Baligha)

The Scholars of Truth in every generation have strongly opposed this act of Milad celebration: Ibn Taymiyyah Hanbali stated in Fatwa Ibn Taymiyyah, vol 1, p312; Imam Naseer ud Deen Shafi رحمه الله stated in Rashad ul Akhyar, p20.
Mujadid Alf Thani Hanafi رحمه الله stated in Mutkoobat, vol 5, p22; Shah Abdul Aziz Muhadith Dehlawi رحمه الله stated in his Fatawa Azizi, p93.

Who began the celebration of 3rd Eid?

Who began the celebration of 3rd Eid:

Imam Ibne Kathir (May Allah be pleased with him) says: “Muzaffaruddin Abu Saeed Kokabri” used to decorate the festival/gathering of Eid Milad in the Rabbi ul Awwal and one Sheikh Ibne Dehiya gave a book prepared concerning to this Milad on which this king happily gave 1000 Dinar to Ibne Dehiya, the (people who) entered to the prepared/decorated festival/gathering of Muzaffaruddin describes the scene this way that there were numerous camels, cows and goats used to be slaughtered for entertainment with same there were halwa (dense sweet confection), gathering used to begin by Zuhr(noon) till Fajr(Dawn) and along with mystic, king also used to dance.”
(البداية والنهاية : 160/7)

It is proved that this innovation was invented by Muzaffaruddin Abu Saeed Kokabri in 7th century, this is also proved by the people who decorated and held the festival.
Mufti Naeem Ahmad Yar Khan Gujrati says:
“The king who invented this first was Shah Arbal.”
(جاء الحق : 237)

A well known scholar of these people Cleric Abdus Sami Rampuri says:
“The celebration of Milad Shareef began later, means in the last of 6th century.”
(انورا ساطعة مع براهين قاطعة : 163)

Molana Ghulam Rasool Saeed Hanafi Barelvi a Sheikh (master) of Hadith Jamaya Naemia says:
“Salaf Saliheen, means the companions and Tabiéen did not celebrated/started gathering/festival of milad.”
[Sahih Muslim,شرح صحيح مسلم : 179/3)

When Allama Fakahani was asked about this, he said:
“I don’t know any reality of this Milad in the book of Allah and the tradition of the Holy Prophet and the scholars of the Ummah who are going to hold the religious example and mutaqaddamin (to those who will come in future), none of them reports this practice, whereas it’s an innovation which is founded by idol worshipers, self desires full fillers and stomach worshipers (those who just wants to fill their stomach irrelevant from where they earn).”
(المورد في الكلام المولد بحواله حسن المقصد في عمل المولد : 223/1)

Salaf Saliheen (pious predecessors) did not celebrated this milad despite the fact that there is a stability in this act and no hindrance (for doing it), and if this practice is well or better/superior then Salaf Saliheen are more deserving persons in comparison to us, they are more strict in comparison to us in the love and honor to Holy Prophet and they were more solicitous, big deal in his(Prophet) love and honor is in the inside(secret) and outside(open) obedience, in submitting in front of the command of him(Prophet), keeping alive the Sunnah of him (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and the commands with which the he (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was sent, in spreading them and doing Jihad with heart, hands and tongue on these commands and this is the way of Ansar o Muhajireen who are the foremost leaders and was (the way) of those who obey it perfectly.”
(اقتضاء الصراط المستقيم لمخالفة أصحاب الجحيم : 615/2), [Eqtza as siratul Mustaqim, Le Mukhalefat as habel Jaheem: 615,2]

Hence! Eid Milad (Celebration of the Birth day of Prophet Muhammad PBUH) is an innovation in the Religion, which is invented and used for political gain by the king Muzaffaruddin Saeed Abukokabri of the 7th century hijrah, and the scholar who collected the data and content was Ibne Dehiyah. This practice an increment in the Religion which is renowned as Bid’ah (Innovation), and for Bid’ah, the Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH has said:
“To proceed, the best speech is the Book of Allah and the best guidance is the guidance of Muhammad PBUH, the worst practice is the introduction of new practices in Islam and every Bid’ah is misguidance.”
(Sahih Muslim)

Abdullah Bin Umer (May Allah be pleased with him) said:
“All bidat (innovations in religion) are errors, whether they appear apparently good to the people.”
(Sunan Ad Darmi, سنن الدارمي)

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace and mercy be upon him) said:
“If anyone introduces in our matter something which does not belong to it, will be refected.”
(Sahih Al Bukhari, Muslim)

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace and mercy be upon him) has said:
“Allah Ta’la does not accept the repentance of a Bidati (innovator) unless he leaves that bid’ah.”

“O believers! When the call for Salah is made on Friday, hasten to the remembrance of ALLAH and cease your business. That is better for you if you but knew. When you finish the salah, then disperse through the land and seek the bounty of ALLAH. Remember ALLAH frequently, so that you may prosper.” [Al-Qur’an… 62: 9 – 10]

Salutations on the Prophet (saw) on Jumuah
Bismillaah Al-Hamdulillaah wa salatu wa salaamu ‘ala rasulullaah
Amma ba’d

The Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said:

Frequently send salutations on me on Friday during the day and night. Whoever sends one salutation on me, ALLAH will send ten to him.

Collected by Al-Bayhaqi in his Sunnan. Shaykh Al-Albani graded this hadeeth as being “Hasan” in Saheehah 1407.

Imam Ibnul-Qayyim (rahimahullaah), who wrote a book about the virtues of sending salutations on Prophet Muhammad (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam), listed some benefits for practicing the above hadeeth:

1. Doing this act is following ALLAH’s order

2. Sending salutations on the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) is an act the Angels do.

3. Sending salutations on the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) raises your rank ten levels.

4. Sending salutations on the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) removes ten bad deeds and adds ten good deeds to your record.

5. Sending salutations on the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) is a means to draw you closer to the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) on the Day of Judgment.

6. Sending salutations on the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) allows him to return the same salutation to you.

7. Sending salutations on the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) is a way to earn ALLAH’s mercy.

8. Sending salutations on the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) saves you from being stingy in giving him salutations.

9. Sending salutations on the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) with the du’aa after the Adhaan earns you the right for his intercession on the Day of Judgment.

Al-Manaawee said: There are lots of words and phrases for sending salutations on the Prophet (salallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam). The most famous and best is:

Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa ‘ala alee Muhammadin, kama sallaita ‘ala Ibrahim wa ‘ala alee Ibrahim [Faydul Qadeer #1403]

Subhanak Allaahuma wa bihamdika ash-hadu anlaa illaaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa atubu ilayk

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar (may ALLAH be pleased with him) said: “The Messenger of ALLAH (peace and blessings of ALLAH be upon him) said: ‘Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu’ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.’”

Jumu’ah Reminder

Jumu’ah Reminder

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

ALLAH Ta’ala says in the Quran:

Translation : “O you who believe! When the call for jumu’ah salaat is made, hasten towards the remembrance of ALLAH Ta’ala and leave all transactions. This is best for you if only you know. “

Rasulullah (ALLAH bless him & give him peace) said: “The person who has a bath on Friday, purifies himself as far as possible, applies oil to his hair, applies perfume, leaves for the musjid, when he arrives at the musjid he does not sit down by removing anyone from his place, offers as many nafl salaats as possible, when the imam delivers the khutbah he remains silent – then his sins from the previous jumu’ah till now will be forgiven. “ (Sahih Bukhari)

Friday (Jumu’ah) is the best day of the week:
Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of ALLAH sallallahu alehi wasallam said: “The best day on which the sun rises is Friday. [On Friday] Adam was created and on that day he entered paradise and on that day he was expelled from paradise. And the Hour will come to pass on Friday.” This is related by Muslim, Abu Dawud, an-Nasa’i, and at-Tirmizhi who calls it sahih.

Abu Lubanah al-Badri relates that the Prophet said: “The most prominent of the days [the leader of the days] is the day of Jumu’ah and the most honored in ALLAH’s sight, and it is more honored in ALLAH’s sight than the day of breaking the fast or the day of sacrifice (both Eid days). It has five significant merits: ALLAH created Adam on this day; on this day ALLAH sent Adam down to the earth; on this day, ALLAH caused Adam to die; on this day, there is a time during which if anyone asks anything of ALLAH it will be granted to him unless he asks for something which is forbidden; and on this day, the Hour will be established. There are no angels close to ALLAH or sky or earth or wind or mountain or sea who are not worried concerning the day of Jumu’ah.” This is related by Ahmad and Ibn Majah. Al-Iraqi says its chain is hasan.

Making many prayers and salutations upon the Prophet sallallahu alehi wasallam during the night and the day of Jumu’ah
Aus ibn Aus reports that the Prophet said: “The most virtuous of your days is Jumu’ah. On that day, Adam was created and on that day he died, (on that day) the horn will be blown and the people will be dumbfounded! Increase your prayers upon me as your prayers upon me will be presented to me.” The people said: “O Messenger of ALLAH, how will our prayers be presented to you when you have passed away?” He said: “ALLAH has prohibited the earth from eating the bodies of the Prophets.” This is related by the five, except for at-Tirmizhi.
Recitation of Surah al-Kahf :
It is preferred to recite surah al-Kahf during the day and night of Jumu’ah.
Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reports that the Prophet said: “Whoever recites Surah al-Kahf on Jumu’ah will have illumination from the light from one Jumu’ah to the next.”

This is related by an-Nasa’i, al-Baihaqi, and alHakim.

Ibn ‘Umar reports that the Prophet said: “Whoever recites Surah al-Kahf on Jumu’ah will be blessed with a light that will rise from underneath his feet to the peak of the sky. This will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven for what is between the Jumu’ah [and the next] Jumu’ah.” This is related by Ibn Mardwwiyah with a faultless chain.

Supplications during Friday:
One should do one’s best to make supplications during the last moments (or hours) of Jumu’ah.
‘Abdullah ibn Salam relates: “I said, and the Messenger of ALLAH was sitting: ‘We find in the Book of ALLAH that on Friday there is an ‘hour’ in which, if a believing slave prays to ALLAH for something, his prayer is (indeed) accepted and he is granted what ever he prays for.’ The Messenger of ALLAH pointed toward me and said: ‘Or part of an hour.’ I said: ‘You have spoken the truth: or part of an hour.’ I asked: ‘What hour is it?’ He replied: ‘The last hour of the day.’ I remarked: ‘That is not a time of salah?’ He responded: ‘Certainly [it is]; if a believing slave offers salah and then sits, he will not be sitting, save due to the salah, and he will be in salah.”‘

This is related by Ibn Majah.

Reflections On Surah Al Kahf (The Cave)

Reflections On Surah Al Kahf

The surah is incredibly rich in dynamic verbs. It includes an assortment of verbs representing verbal, physical, and spiritual  activities, hereby presenting a vivid portrayal of true life stories that carry genuine lessons for people to comprehend and reflect upon.

Imam Ahmad recorded that al Bara narrated: “A man recited surah al kahf and there was an animal in the house which began acting in a nervous manner. He looked and saw a fog or a cloud overhead. He mentioned this to the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said:

“keep on reciting so and so, for this is the tranquility which descends when one reads Quran or because of reading Quran”. This hadith has been recorded in the two Sahihs (Sahih Muslim and Sahih Bukhari) and the man who recorded it, according to ibn Kathir, is said to be Usayd bin Hudayr.

I was marveling at how each chapter of the holy Quran carries a unique spirit of its own, and in most cases a functionality that makes it sought after for particular purposes and at specific circumstances. I stopped at Surah al Kahf, chapter 18 of the Quran, and kept going through its verses over and over again. I felt a shiver that never haunted me before, as though I was reading the Surah for the first time in my life. The rush I felt was sort of a stream of energy that penetrated through me while reading the Surah and deeply contemplating its meanings and implications.

And I could relate to a sensible theory once suggested by the renown Egyptian Muslim preacher, Dr. Amr Khaled, who said that the great number of verbs  of movement, or dynamic verbs, mentioned in Surah al Kahf, acts as a good motivator for people to be more active and engage in more meaningful activities. No wonder Muslims are advised to recite this noble Surah every Friday; which concludes a week and kick starts a new one in most Islamic countries or countries of considerable Muslim population.

Dynamic verbs;
The noble Surah narrates three main parables, that of People of the Cave, the Two Men who received Equal Blessings from God but reacted differently and thus were destined to two different fates, and the third parable telling the story of Prophet Moses’ journey to gain knowledge at the hands of al Khidr.

The surah is incredibly rich in dynamic verbs. It includes an assortment of verbs representing verbal, physical, and spiritual  activities, hereby presenting a vivid portrayal of true life stories that carry genuine lessons for people to comprehend and reflect upon.

Let me list you a few examples:

“[Mention] when the youths retreated to the cave and said, “Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance.” [The Holy Quran 18: 10]

“And [had you been present], you would see the sun when it rose, inclining away from their cave on the right, and when it set, passing away from them on the left, while they were [laying] within an open space thereof. That was from the signs of Allah . He whom Allah guides is the [rightly] guided, but he whom He leaves astray – never will you find for him a protecting guide. [The Holy Quran 18: 17]

“And he entered his garden while he was unjust to himself. He said, “I do not think that this will perish – ever.”

[The Holy Quran 18: 35]

“His companion said to him while he was conversing with him, “Have you disbelieved in He who created you from dust and then from a sperm-drop and then proportioned you [as] a man?”

[The Holy Quran 18: 37]

“So they set out, until when they had embarked on the ship, al-Khidh r tore it open. [Moses] said, “Have you torn it open to drown its people? You have certainly done a grave thing.” [The Holy Quran 18: 71]

“[Al-Khidh r] said, “Did I not say that with me you would never be able to have patience?”

—[The Holy Quran 18: 72]

“[Moses] said, “Do not blame me for what I forgot and do not cover me in my matter with difficulty.”

—[The Holy Quran 18: 73]

“So they set out, until when they met a boy, al-Khidh r killed him. [Moses] said, “Have you killed a pure soul for other than [having killed] a soul? You have certainly done a deplorable thing.”

—[The Holy Quran 18: 74]

“So they set out, until when they came to the people of a town, they asked its people for food, but they refused to offer them hospitality. And they found therein a wall about to collapse, so al-Khidhr restored it. [Moses] said, “If you wished, you could have taken for it a payment.” —[The Holy Quran 18: 77]

“Until, when he came to the rising of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We had not made against it any shield.” —[The Holy Quran 18: 90]

“Then he followed a way” —[The Holy Quran 18: 92]

You can’t help but feel rejuvenated and ignited to rise up and get into some activity or another. Reading through the Ayas I feel a rush to get moving. A blend of inspirational, vivid and vibrant description of all sorts of human movement and activities that awaken dull spirits and lifeless souls.

I’ve always tried to commit to the weekly schedule of reciting Surah al Kahf on Fridays, particularly before noon or Jumaa Prayer. But lately I decided to search out its merits, hopng to expound more of its blessings and grasp new level of its meanings.

And so it was.

Surah al Kahf has proved specially meritorious, and I bet you will commit to its weekly recitation like you never did before if you read through this piece of reflections.

Shield against Anti Christ:
Abu Dardaa (may Allah be pleased with him) related that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: ” One who memorized the first ten verses of Surah al Kahf will be secure against the Dajjal (Anti-Christ) . And in another version, he (pbuh) is narrated to have said: “One who commits to his memory the last 10 verses of this surah will remain immune from the Dajjal.
— narrated by Imam Muslim

Light:
According to al Baihaqi Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “He who recites Suratul Kahf on Friday, Allah will shine a light for him between the two Fridays.”

Would you compromise such blessings?! I personally dare not.

As for the wisdom extracted from the Surah, it’s timelss.

The three parables described in the Surah combine a set of moral values and rationales essential for sound and faithful Muslim character.

The story of The People of the Cave speaks of the Supreme Power and Will of God, His Divine wisdom in running His creation. The parable tells the story of a group of  monotheistic youngsters  who were persecuted and thus fled to some land where they took shelter in a cave that witnessed the peak of their story. And there God caused them to sleep for a period of time said to be 309 years, neither the gust of the wind nor the heat or the light of the sun would awaken them. And when they woke up after all those years, they found the community surrounding them becoming monotheistic as well.

The second parable mentioned the story of two men who had both been given blessings from Allah (SWT), but one wronged his soul by acting arrogant and saying that nobody and simply nothing can take away his garden, and because of his arrogance, God’s wrath befallen him and his garden was destroyed.

As for the third parable it comprises of a set of mind-boggling incidents that make up the journey of enlightenment and knowledge of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) at the hand of some man, referred in most sources as al Khidr.

Towards the very end of the Surah there’s a fourth parable describing a man, named Dhul Qarnayn (the two-horned one), said to have travelled far and wide, setting off on a journey that took him east and west. About the story of Dhul Qarnayn, one of the issues at the heart of controversial debates about Islam, Ibn Kathir, the famous and prominent Mufassir or Expert of Quranic exegesis, had said that the community of disbelievers in Mecca sent to the people of the book asking them for some knowledge or information that would help them in their mental battle against Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Responding to their request, The People of the Book told them to ask about the man who travelled extensively, and was provided every means on earth, that is Dhul Qarnyan.

Allah concludes the Surah with outright affirmation of Allah’s Supreme and Divine Power, His full control over the Universe. The Surah also sums up the Law of God, which rewards those who are faithful and punishes the disbelievers.

The recitation of this noble Surah and setting it as a weekly custom is quite essential for a productive and all-fruitful week. It would surely boost your faith, help you grow wiser and more confident of Allah’s support, let alone trust in His Supreme Wisdom that runs all matters in a way that surpasses the limited human mind capacity.

As dynamic as it is, the Surah primarily revives a resonate soul that is more attached to the future as well as what’s imminent, a soul that’s guided by light of Allah (SWT), a soul that’s tied to its Fitra (natural instinct) as originally created by Allah; a faithful soul.

Wassalaam,
Maha Youssuf

Recitation of Surah Al-Kahf on Friday (Jummah)

SECRETS OF SURAH AL-KAHF

I take refuge in Allah, from Satan, the outcast.
In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
Ever wondered why Prophet Muhammad(SAW) asked us to recite Surat Al-Kahf every Friday?
Let’s find out today inshaAllah…

This Surah has Four stories in it,having some morals, lets see them and understand what they are saying to us:

1) The People Of The Cave

Its the story of young men who lived in a disbelieving town, so they decided to migrate for the sake of Allah and run away. -Allah rewards them with mercy in the cave and protection from the sun – They woke up and found the entire village believers.
MORAL:TRIAL OF FAITH.

2) The Owner Of Two Gardens
A story of a man whom Allah blessed with two beautiful gardens, but the man forgot to thank the One who blessed him with everything and he even dared to doubt Allah regarding the afterlife. So His garden was destroyed – He regretted ,but was too late and his regret did not benefit him .
MORAL:TRIAL OF WEALTH.

3) Musa(AS) and Khidr(AS)
When Musa(AS) was asked-“Who’s the most knowledgeable of the people of earth?”” Musa(AS) said:Me…,but Allah revealed to him that there’s someone who Knows more than him.Musa(AS) traveled to the man and learnt how the Divine Wisdom can sometimes be hidden in matters which we perceive as bad.
MORAL:TRIAL OF KNOWLEDGE.

4) Dhul-Qarnayn
Its a story of the great King that was given knowledge and power and was going around the world, helping people and spreading all that’s good.He was able to overcome the problem of Yajooj-Majooj and build a massive dam with the help of people whom he could not even understand.
MORAL:TRIAL OF POWER.

In the middle Allah mentions Iblees as the one who stirs these trials:
Behold! We said to the angels “Bow down to Adam”: they bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrongdoers!

Now let us see what’s the relationship between Surat Al-Kahf and the Dajjal (Anti-Christ)?
Dajjal will appear before Day of Judgement with the 4 trials:

***He’ll ask people to worship him and not Allah:
Trial of Faith .

***He’ll be given powers to start/stop rain and tempt people with his wealth:
Trial of with his wealth. .

***He’ll trial people with the “knowledge” and news he gives them:
Trial of Knowledge .

He’ll control huge parts of the Earth.
Trial of Power .

How to survive these trials? The answers are in Surat Al-Kahf

# Survival Kit 1: Good companionship.
“And keep thy soul content with those who call on their Lord morning and evening, seeking His Face; and let not thine eyes pass beyond them, seeking the pomp and glitter of this Life; no obey any whose heart We have permitted to neglect the remembrance of Us, one who follows his own desires, whose case has gone beyond all bounds.”

(The Holy Quran Surat Al-Kahf, verse 28)

# Survival Kit 2: Knowing the Truth of this World .
“Set forth to them the similitude of the life of this world: It is like the rain which we send down from the skies: the earth’s vegetation absorbs it, but soon it becomes dry stubble, which the winds do scatter: it is (only) Allah who prevails over all things”

(The Holy Quran Surat Al-Kahf, verse 45)

# Survival Kit 3: Humbleness.
“Moses said: “Thou wilt find me, if Allah so will, (truly) patient: nor shall I disobey thee in aught.””(The Holy Quran Surat Al-Kahf, verse 69)

# Survival Kit 4: Sincerity.
“Say: “I am but a man like yourselves, (but) the inspiration has come to me, that your Allah is one Allah. whoever expects to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and, in the worship of his Lord, admit no one as partner.” (The Holy Quran  Surat Al- Kahf, verse 110)

# Survival Kit 5: Calling to Allah .
“And recite (and teach) what has been revealed to thee of the Book of thy Lord: none can change His Words, and none wilt thou find as a refuge other than Him.” (The Holy Quran Surat Al-Kahf, verse 27)

# Survival Kit 6: Remembering the HereAfter .

“ One Day We shall remove the mountains, and thou wilt see the earth as a level stretch, and We shall gather them, all together, nor shall We leave out any one of them. And they will be marshalled before thy Lord in ranks, (with the announcement), “Now have ye come to Us (bare) as We created you first: aye, ye thought We shall not fulfil the appointment made to you to meet (Us)!”: And the Book (of Deeds) will be placed (before you); and thou wilt see the sinful in great terror because of what is (recorded) therein; they will say, “Ah! woe to us! what a Book is this! It leaves out nothing small or great, but takes account thereof !” They will find all that they did, placed before them: And not one will thy Lord treat with injustice.” (The Holy Quran Surat Al-Kahf, verses 47-49)

May Allah save us from the trials of modern times and may He guide us the straight Path of Islam. Aameen. May Allah reward you for viewing the note.

Virtues of the Jumma’h Prayer

Almighty Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O you who believe (Muslims)! When the call is proclaimed for the Salaah (prayer) on Friday (Jumu‘ah prayer), come to the remembrance of Allaah [Jumu‘ah religious talk (Khutbah) and Salaah (prayer)] and leave off business (and every other thing). That is better for you if you did but know!”
[The Holy Quran, Surrah al-Jumu’ah 62:9][/b]

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in Zaad al-Ma’aad (1/376):

Friday prayer is one of the most important obligations in Islam, and one of the greatest gatherings of the Muslims. Gathering on Friday is more important and more obligatory than any other gathering apart from ‘Arafah. Whoever neglects it, Allaah will place a seal on his heart.

It was narrated from Abu’l-Ja’d al-Damari – who was a companion of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) – that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever neglects three Jumu’ahs, Allaah will place a seal on his heart.”
[Narrated by Abu Dawood, 1052; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 928]

It was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar and Abu Hurayrah that they heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say on the minbar:
“Let people stop neglecting Jumu’ah, or Allaah will place a seal on their hearts, then they will be among those who are neglectful.”
[Narrated by Sahih Muslim, 865]

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best day on which the sun rises is Friday. On it Adam was created, on it he was admitted to Paradise and on it he was expelled therefrom.”

[Narrated by : Sahih Muslim, 1410]

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu ‘anhu):
Abu-l-Qasim (the Prophet) (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “On Friday
there is a particular time if a Muslim happens to be praying and invoking
Allah for something good during that time, Allah will surely fulfill his
request.” The Prophet (Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wa Sallam) pointed out with his
hand. We thought that he wanted to illustrate how short that time was.

[Sahih Bukhari Vol. 8 : No. 409]

It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said: The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best prayer before Allaah is Fajr prayer on Friday in congregation.”

Narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Eemaan; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 1119

Acts of worship which are prescribed on Fridays:

1 – Salaat al-Jumu’ah (Friday prayer) [al-Jumu’ah 62:9]
2 – Making a lot of du’aa’. [al-Bukhaari, 893; Muslim, 852]
3 – Reading Soorat al-Kahf. [Saheeh al-Targheeb, 836]
4 – Sending a lot of blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). [Abu Dawood, 1047]

A Pious Muslima, Jailed for Wearing Islamic Viel

Now you judge and tell us where is Democracy and Human Rights to give right For this woman and like her Tousand of other Sisters who has been Penalized In France and other European Countries ????

French mother, 32, set to become first woman to be jailed for wearing banned Islamic veil
  • Refused to accept court sentence that she spend 15 days learning her civic duties
  • ‘Judges need citizenship lessons – not me’
  • Taking case to court of human rights

A 32-year-old mother from France is set to become the first woman ever to be sent to prison for wearing an Islamic veil.

Hind Ahmas refuses to accept the legitimacy of a Paris court which has ordered her to spend 15 days learning her civic duties.

She was sentenced by magistrates in Meaux, a Paris suburb, yesterday – after being arrested wearing an outlawed veil outside the Elysee Palace in the French capital on April 11.

Facing jail: Hind Ahmas, left, could be sentenced to two years in prison for wearing a banned Islamic head covering in FranceFacing jail: Hind Ahmas, left, could be sentenced to two years in prison for wearing a banned Islamic head covering in France

That was shortly after Nicolas Sarkozy’s government introduced a ban on all forms of Islamic head coverings, including the niqab and the burka.

Ahmas was not allowed into the hearing at Meaux Criminal Court because she refused to remove her face covering.

But prosecutors made it clear to her lawyer, Gilles Devers, that Ahmas now faces two years in prison and a £27,000 fine.

‘There is no possibility of me removing the veil,’ Ahmas said.

‘I’m not taking it off. The judge needs citizenship lessons, not me.’

Ahmas, who has already refused to pay a fine of around £100 for wearing a veil on another occasion, intends to take her case to the European Court of Human Rights.

She has launched a pressure group, Do Not Touch My Constitution, along with Kenza Drider, another veil wearer who wants to run for president in the Spring.

New law: Ahmas, 32, pictured with would-be presidential candidate Kenza Drider, is taking her case to the European Court of Human RightsNew law: Ahmas, 32, pictured with would-be presidential candidate Kenza Drider, is taking her case to the European Court of Human Rights

If Ahmas does become the first woman in the world to go to prison for wearing a veil, then it will be seen as a huge propaganda coup for Islamic-rights campaigners.

Mr Sarkozy said the ban on head coverings was not aimed at persecuting Muslims, but merely to make France a more tolerant, inclusive society.

When it was introduced, he said the ban was aimed at stopping criminals – from terrorists to shoplifters – disguising their faces from security staff and CCTV.

But the sight of a young mother being led away to the cells merely because she refuses to take off her veil will cause outrage around the world.

Mr Devers said the veil ban was ‘unconstitutional’, while senior police officers have told judges that it is unenforceable without persecuting women.

France became the first country in Europe to outlaw the veil, while similar legislation has since been passed in Belgium and Holland.

One has been mooted in Britain by a number of politicians, including Conservative backbenchers, but there are no immediate plans to introduce one.

Story of an American Reverted Muslima, Alhmdllah :)

Assalamu Alaikum – السلام عليكم Brothers and Sisters! I am Ameera هايدي.

I am American revert into Islam.

I used to be Catholic. Reason why I choose Islam is because, I always felt it was true, right, and felt safe with the Quran. When I used to looked at the Bible when I was a kid, and today’s Bible, it’s not all the same. It’s was very confusing for me, and I didn’t know what to believe.

So I went to some book store, to look at books, I picked up the Quran. It blew me away, I saw a bright light that I never seen before, and I had all the chills, but it was a good feeling. So I studied in Islam, then did Shahada.

First of all I’d like to thank God for blessing me, and inspiring me to become a better person.

I am thankful for all the people I have met on my journey, and all the priceless things I have learned. I reverted to Islam on July 1, 2007.

There is only One God, He alone is the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe! Thanks to God, Glory be to Him and all praise is His, I am stronger in Faith, in peace and contentment, illuminated, consciously aware, inspired, and wiser.

I hope for world unity in a society spiraling out control.

I believe that the character of a person goes so much deeper than sight. Truth seeker, researcher, optimistic, loyal, responsible, and open-minded. Determined (giving up is not applicable to me, there’s no such thing as impossibility). Looking forward to meeting people who share my interests. I love to seek/share knowledge, and learning this beautiful deen (way of life). Islam – a religion of Peace, LOVE, Justice and Tolerance… I know some people in my family didn’t accept me cause I am a revert into Islam, but I don’t pay no mind.

I always tell them never judge anyone, only let Allah judge them. Cause no one can judge anyone, but only Allah can. You know I never been as happy in my life, since I ever revert into Islam.

“Without Islam I don’t know where I would be today. My motivation for succeeding academically and succeeding professionally – all that stems from Islam, and I don’t think it’d be there if it weren’t for Islam.”

Eventually I hit a moment of truth: my new-found self-fulfilling activism was nothing more than merely embracing a faith called Islam where I could live in peace as a “functional” Muslim. I bought a beautiful long gown and head cover resembling the Muslim woman’s dress code and I walked down the same streets in “Jersey Shore” in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and neighborhoods where only days earlier I had walked in my shorts, very short dresses, or “elegant” western business attire. Although the people, the faces, and the shops were all the same, one thing was remarkably distinct–I was not–nor was the peace at being a woman I experienced for the very first time. I felt as if the chains had been broken and I was finally free. I was delighted with the new looks of wonder on people’s faces in place of the looks of a hunter watching his prey I had once sought. Suddenly a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I no longer spent all my time consumed with shopping, makeup, getting my hair done, and working out. Finally, I was free.

Of all places, I found my Islam at the heart of what some call “the most scandalous place on earth,” which makes it all the more dear and special.

Today I am still a feminist, but a Muslim feminist, who calls on Muslim women to assume their responsibilities in providing all the support they can for their husbands to be good Muslims. To raise their children as upright Muslims so they may be beacons of light for all humanity once again. To enjoin good–any good–and to forbid evil–any evil. To speak righteousness and to speak up against all ills. To fight for our right to wear Hijab and to please our Creator whichever way we chose. But just as importantly to carry our experience with Hijab to fellow women who may never have had the chance to understand what wearing Hijab means to us and why do we, so dearly, embrace it.

I couldn’t be happier to shed all my very short dresses in trash and the “glamorous” Western lifestyle to live in peace with my Creator and enjoy living among fellow humans as a worthy person. It is why I choose to wear Hijab, and why I will die defending my inalienable right to wear it.

Today, Hijab is the new symbol of woman’s liberation.

To women who surrender to the ugly stereotype against the Islamic modesty of Hijab, I say: You don’t know what you are missing…

Fearing from Allah SWT

Almighty Allaah says In the Holy Quran:
“O you who believe fear Allah as He should be feared and die not except in the state of Islam”.                                                    [Holy Quran, Surrah al-Imran 3:102]

Be a muslim today, tomorrow & forever,
Be a Muslim in faith & in your behaviour,
Be a Muslim in private & in public.
Be a Muslim with others & with your ownself,
Be a Muslim when at ease & in hardship.

Always be in a state of Islam,
in a state of submission to your Allaah,
so that when death comes to you will be ready

Do not disappear from Allaah’s mercy, always ask for forgiveness if u do any wrong

Do not disappear from Allaah’s mercy, always ask for forgiveness if u do any wrong

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) reported that the devil said to God:
“I shall continue to lead Thy servants astray as long as their spirits are in their bodies.”
And God replied,”(Then) I shall continue to pardon them as long as
they ask for My forgiveness.”
[Al-Tirmidhi]

‘It is He who accepts repentance from His servants, and pardons bad deeds, and knows all that you do. And He answers those who have faith and do righteous deeds, and gives them- out of His bounty- far more.’
(The Holy Quran, Surah al-Shura 42: 25-6)

One day Allah’s Messenger (pbuh), noticed a Bedouin leaving his camel without tying it. He asked the Bedouin, “Why don’t you tie down your camel?” The Bedouin answered, “I placed my trust in Allah.” At that, the Prophet (pbuh), said, “Tie your camel and place your trust in Allah” [Tirmidhi]

[Lessons from this hadith]
Placing trust in Allah means doing everything that is necessary for success!

Is Coke Haram ???

From 1966 Coca-Cola has been a staunch supporter of Israel. In 1997 the Government of Israel Economic Mission honored Coca-Cola at the Israel Trade Award Dinner for its continued support of Israel for the last 30 years and for refusing to abide by the Arab League boycott of Israel.

Every year Coca Cola bankrolls the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce Awards which honors companies that have contributed most to the Israeli economy. In 2009 a Coca-Cola sponsored award went to Israel’s Lobby AIPAC for its successful lobbying of the Senate to reject of the UN call for “immediate ceasefire” and endorse the continuation of the Israel military assault on Gaza.

In 2008 Coca-Cola tasked the Israeli venture capital Challenge Fund to locate suitable investments in Israel with a promise of “a blank cheque” . This agreement is exceptional in the Israeli venture capital industry.

In 2009 Coca-Cola hosted a special reception at the Coca-Cola world headquarters to honour Brigadier-General Ben-Eliezer. Ben-Eliezer is a wanted war criminal, during the Six-Day War his unit was responsible for the execution of over 300 Egyptian POWs. Under Sharon, Ben-Eliezer served as Defence Minister presiding over the massacre at Jenin.

For the past two decades, nearly every year, Coca-Cola has sponsored the JCC Maccabi Games whose stated aim is to cultivate Jewish youth in an informal setting to “encourage their identification with the state of Israel”. As part of this, Coca Cola has sponsored young children to visit Israeli military bases and spend time with war criminals in order to engender empathy, in their own words “visit an air force base.. talk with the pilots that are the elite Israel Defense Force units..meet fighters of the army.”.

Coca-Cola Israel, Israel’s third largest food & beverages company, owns dairy farms in the illegal Israeli settlements of Shadmot Mechola in the Jordan Valley and a plant in the industrial zone of Katzerin in the occupied Golan Heights.

In April 2009 McDonalds announced its bringing its McCafe chain to Israel.

The Obligation to Increase the Love and Honor of the Prophet

Allah asks the Prophet to remind his Nation that it is essential for those who claim to love God, to love His Prophet :

“Say to them: If you love God, follow (and love and honor) me, and God will love you” (The Holy Quran 3:31).

[see also (2)]

This obligation to love the Prophet means to obey him, to remember him, to follow his example, and to be proud of him as Allah is proud of him, since Allah has boasted about him in His Holy Book by saying:

“Truly you are of a magnificient character” (The Holy Quran, Surrah al-Qalam 4).

. Love of the Prophet is what differentiates the believers in the perfection of their imaan. In an authentic hadith related in Bukhari and Muslim, the Prophet said:

“None of you believes until he loves me more than he loves his children, his parents, and all people.”

In another hadith in Bukhari he said: “None of you believes until he loves me more than he loves himself.”

Perfection of faith is dependent on love of the Prophet because Allah and His angels are constantly raising his honor, as is meant in the verse:

“Allah and His angels are praying on the Prophet” (The Holy Quran,33:56).

The Divine order that immediately follows in the verse:

“O believers, pray on him,”

makes it clear that the quality of being a believer is dependent on and manifested by praying on the Prophet.

O Allah! Send peace and blessings on the Prophet, his family, and his companions.

Abu Hurairah (R.A) said: “The Prophet, peace be upon him, remarked: ‘The example of a believer is like a fresh tender plant; from whichever direction the wind blows, it bends the plant. But when the wind dies down, it straightens up again. (Similarly a believer is tested by afflictions to strengthen his faith and heart, and he remains patient and firm). And an evil person is like a pine tree which remains hard and stiff until Allah breaks it whenever He wills.

Be thankful for what you have!

Before you think of an unkind word, think of someone who cant speak
Before you complain about the taste of your food, think of someone who has nothing to eat

before you complain about life, think of someone who died too young

before you argue about your untidy house, think of people living in the streets
before thinking about the distance you drive, think of someone who travels the same distance with their feet
when depressing thoughts get you down, put a smile on your face and thank Allah swt for everything you have compared to those who have nothing!

REMEMBER…
Life is a blessing and comes with a purpose.

Always say Al-hamd-u-lillah

Controlling Temper

One of the valuable lessons that we learn from this hadith is to avoid being quarrelsome even in situations where we may think we are on the right. Again, while we should point out the truth, we should not become quarrelsome and should avoid all attitudes and attributes of being one of such people.

We especially tend to get into such situations with people to whom we are closer because there are fewer barriers between us and them but then that exposure also risks deterioration of relationships by getting into quarrelsome situations frequently.

We should remind ourselves that no one likes quarrelsome people. Let’s therefore heed to the prophet’s call and restrain ourselves instead…

Obeying from the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad PBUH

Let’s ensure that we are very careful in quoting, interpreting, and in general stating whatever is in the Quran and not attribute anything as words of Allah unless we are confident about the truth. Thus, we should be careful when saying, “Allah says (or said) so and so” unless we know the truth. We can see from the attached verse that doing so can be classified as a “lie” by Allah. Sheikh Modudi highlights an example in Tafeem-ul-Quran, when he provides an example of “some people who stressed the superhuman character of the Prophet (peace be on him) and misread the following verse: innama ana basharun mithlukum. (The Holy Qur’an 18: 110)

(I am nothing but a human being like you), replacing innama by inna ma ana that translates as: ‘(O Prophet), say to them: “I am not a human being like you.” Thus, we see how the message can be easily distorted.

The Reality of this life and world

Pride and Arrogance

Both Allah and the prophet warned us about having pride and arrogance. Another problem may be when our attitude and behavior may portray pride and arrogance unbeknownst to us. Allah’s Messenger (S) said, “Whosoever has pride in his heart equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant) shall not enter Paradise.”

(Sahih Muslim, Vol.1, # 164).

The Biggest Sins

A very important matter for those of us who may mistakenly think that they have grown up enough to be disrespectful to their parents.

Narrated Anas bin Mâlik (R.A) that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)said, “The biggest of Al-Kabâ’ir (the great sins) are:

(1) To join others as partners in worship with Allâh,

(2) to murder a human being,

(3) to be undutiful to one’s parents

(4) and to make a false statement,” or said, “to give a false witness.”

(Sahih Al-Bukhâri, Vol.9, Hadîth No.10)
