If all arteries, veins, and capillaries of the human circulatory system were laid, the total length would be almost 100,000 km. That’s more than twice the lenght of Ecuador.

We created man from the purest kind of clay; then made him a drop in a secure receptacle; then formed the drop into a clot and formed the clot into a lump and formed the lump into bones and clothed the bones in flesh; and then brought him into being as another creature. Blessed be Allah, the Best of Creators! (Surat al Muminun, 12-14)

INTRODUCTION Counsel for the Youth

All praise belongs to the Lord of the worlds. May peace and blessings be upon our Master Muhammad, the Prophet of Mercy and Messenger of Wisdom, his benevolent family, and his noble companions, perpetually until the end of time.

This is addressed to the young men who bear arms against their own nations and destroy both country and countrymen. You have abandoned all values and made enemies of the world. We call on you to pause, reflect, and heed this counsel for the sake of all who want good for our community.

As an introduction to the statement, we present these four quotations for serious consideration.

1. A verse from the Qur’an follows:

When he is empowered, he sets out to do violence in the land, destroying crops and livestock. But God does not love violence” (Qur’an, 2:205).

Have not crops and livestock, as well as the elderly and women and children, been destroyed? Is this not violence and corruption in the land, which God abhors?

2. A statement from the Prophet, God’s peace and blessings upon him, from his last sermon given on the Farewell Pilgrimage follows:

Beware (or Woe unto you)! Listen! Do not revert back to disbelief after I have gone— [that is by] some of you killing others.

Note the use of the phrase “beware” or “woe unto you” that signifies a stern warning. The Prophet, God’s peace and blessings upon him, rarely used such phrases. Furthermore, the scholars of Islam say that this hadith indicates that some will excommunicate others in order to justify killing them. Is this not the excommunication and killing that the Prophet, God’s peace and blessings upon him, forbade?

3. A statement of the Caliph ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, from his last sermon follows:

Whoever pledges allegiance to someone not appointed by the consultative process of the believers, neither he nor the one to whom he pledged allegiance are to be followed, out of fear of foolishly exposing themselves to being killed with them.

Has the one who claims to be the caliph of the Muslims consulted the Muslim world, or is he placing himself and those who pledge allegiance to him at risk of being killed? Is this not the disregard of the people which the Caliph ‘Umar warned of?

A Golden Opportunity to Have Your Du’aas Answered!!

This coming Friday (9 Dhil Hijjah / 3rd Oct) represents one of THE most amazing opportunities a believer could ask for. Not only are we in the best 10 days of the year, Friday will represent the best of these 10 days, it will also be the best day of the week; within it it will also contain the best hour for making dua, and to top it all off, many will also be fasting!

As for the day of Arafaah:

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There is no day on which Allaah frees more people from the Fire than the Day of ‘Arafaah. He comes close and expresses His pride to the angels, saying, ‘What do these people want?’”

As for fasting on the day of Arafaah for those not performing Hajj:

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was asked about fasting on the Day of ‘Arafaah. He said, “It expiates for the sins of the previous year and of the coming year.” Narrated by Muslim.

As for the du’aa of the fasting person:

Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There are three prayers that are not rejected: the prayer of a father for his child, the prayer of the fasting person and the prayer of the traveller.”

As for Du’aa in sa’at al-Istijabah on Friday:

Jâbir (may Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Prophet Sall Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: “Friday is comprised of twelve hours. There is one in which a Muslim who asks Allah for something will have it granted to him. Seek it in the last hour after `Asr.”

My dear brothers and sisters, Allah alone knows whether we will ever get this opportunity again or not. Prepare for it from now. Make a list of du’aas you want to make and spend the final hour before Maghrib this coming Friday sincerely pleading to Allah. This IS one of THE best opportunities we may get for a while.

MAXIMIZING YOUR BLESSINGS

“Get in the habit of evaluating your day spiritually just like a store owner would evaluate his business financially. You are the vendor of your own soul. And what you get out of life is in direct proportion to what you contribute to it. You choose the attitude you are going to embrace and convey each day. And today I pray God grants you the needed adjustments in your attitude, ease in your affairs, the hope of success and the ability to maximize your blessings.”

Be strong & remain hopeful; He is the Best of Planners.

The Muslim is merciful

10612617_10152259476421104_6237373090654539032_n

The Muslim is merciful, for mercy is one of the traits of a Muslim, since it is the source of a pure soul and spirit. By being kind, doing righteous deeds, staying away from evil, and shunning corruption, the Muslim’s soul abides in purity and his spirit remains in goodness. Since this is the case, then mercy would never separate from his heart at all. It is for this reason that the Muslim loves mercy, he spreads and encourages it and calls others to it, believing in Allah’s saying:

“Then he became one of those who believed and recommended one another to perseverance and patience, and (also) recommended one another to pity and compassion. They are those on the Right Hand (i.e. the dwellers of Paradise).” [Al-Qur’an 90:17-18] Read the rest of this entry

being good person..-hadith

10689672_837746489577484_4139182487894307002_n

Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal (may Allaah have mercy on him) narrated in his Musnad the hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her): A woman used to go to Quraysh and make them laugh. She came to Madeenah and stayed with a woman who also made people laugh. The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him) said: With whom is So and so staying? She said: With So and so, who makes people laugh. He said: “Souls are like conscripted soldiers; those whom they recognize, they get along with, and those whom they do not recognize, they will not get along with.” The original version of this hadeeth is in al-Saheeh.

If you look at creation, you will hardly find any two people who love one another except that there is some similarity between them or they have something in common with regard to deeds, characteristics or goals. If the goals, characteristics, deeds or ways differ, there can only be aversion and distance between their hearts. It is sufficient to note the saheeh hadeeth from the Messenger of Allaah (blessings and peace of Allaah be upon him): ““The believers, in their mutual mercy, love and compassion, are like a (single) body; if one part of it feels pain, the rest of the body will join it in staying awake and suffering fever.”

Rawdat al-Muhibbeen, 66-74

Hadith-e-Qudsi – Meeting with Allah

10625027_546088868857566_4097000620781331767_n
Narrated Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): Allah’s Apostle (peace be upon him) said: “Allah said: ‘If My slaves loves the meeting with Me, I too love the meeting with him; and if he dislikes the meeting with Me, I too dislike the meeting with him.’ ”Sahih Al-Bukhari, Book of Tauhid, Hadith: 7504]

Sweetness (delight) of faith- hadith

10696321_349622781872020_4947367364747879466_n

Sweetness (delight) of faith
Narrated Anas:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith:
1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else.
2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah’s sake.
3. Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire.”

Islam gives hope for everyone!

10672180_10152246017536104_2409155562116210248_n

Islam gives hope for everyone!
Show someone the true path, instead of judging him/her!

Most of us would quickly judge that this is the last person who may accept Islam, but subhanAllah, with nearly every inch of his body covered with tattoos, this did not stop Eman from entering his heart! Allah (God) guides whom He wants, but first, we have to do our job by showing people the path (Dawah), without judging or excluding ANY person! (A Sister)

How do you establish or deepen your love for the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ?

983741_317863431705166_7590017098958395823_n

a) Be around the company of lovers (those who love Rasulullah ﷺ)

b) Invoke a lot of prayers (Salawat) upon him ﷺ. it is recommended to recite at least x300 per day.

However you should recite with your heart present and when it is present it will make your heart connected to him ﷺ. When your heart is connected to him ﷺ, it will keep your strong and free from any type of anxiety.

c) Serve the ummah of the Prophet ﷺ and by doing so you have a shared love with Rasullulah ﷺ

d) Magnifiy and honour the Sunnah (Do not underestimate or undervalue it)

Facilitate things to people (concerning religious matters) – Hadith

Narrated Anas bin Malik:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Facilitate things to people (concerning religious matters), and do not make it hard for them and give them good tidings and do not make them run away (from Islam).

FROM DANCER TO Deen (Islam)

FROM DANCER TO DEEN

In The Name of Allah, The Most Beneficent, The most Merciful.

From Dancer to Deen

By Ruqayyah Dawood

Around four years ago I was sorting out my storeroom when I came across, amongst other dusty objects, a tenor recorder, a folder of certificates and photographs from my dancing days, a black velvet sash with many gold medals sewn on it, and four dancing trophies. My daughter, who was twelve at the time, had been laughing at my luminous pink ‘nikah’ dress and looking through artwork and writing from my school days when she became detracted. The hideous outfit, poetry and drawings of cats were soon forgotten when she eyeballed the tenor recorder.

“Oh, Mummy, did you ever play that? Can I have a go?”

As she tried to get a tune out of it, asking what other instruments I played, it hit me that my children probably don’t see me as a revert, even though they know I wasn’t always a Muslim.  I’m just simply their ‘Mummy’ who reminds them to pray and discourages music even making them turn down the volume on their PlayStation. Certain characteristics they possess, such as an absence of racism and an open mind towards ‘not yet Muslims’ I find endearing and realise almost certainly it is because of me being a white revert myself, whilst their father is British Pakistani. It wasn’t unusual to hear my children explaining to other Muslim children that not all ‘white people’ are horrible to Muslims- “mummy is white and so is my nana, and they’re very nice!” I often heard them point out to friends, adding with pride, “And our Mum is a Muslim!” Nor was it infrequent for them to educate their mates, Muslim or not, that the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, was not Pakistani but an Arab! My daughter would often answer to those who enquired after her ethnicity, that she is half Pakistani, half white but really just human and Muslim!

So I reluctantly informed her that I played the cello and the piano a bit too, “BUT this was before I became a Muslim,” I emphasised!

So that was that. Or so I thought.

Abandon Jumu’ah Prayer and your heart will be abandoned astray

رسول الله صلی الله عليه وسلم يقول علی أعواد منبره لينتهين أقوام عن ودعهم الجمعات أو ليختمن الله علی قلوبهم ثم ليکونن من الغافلين

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “People must cease neglecting Jumu’ah, or Allah will put a seal over their hearts and they will truly be among the negligent.”

[Sahih Muslim, Book of Jumu’ah (Friday) Prayer, Hadith: 2002]

Qualities of the Khawārij sect

The Khawārij were a group who tried to exceed the piety established by the Prophet (sa). In fact, that caused them to question his positions and even kill some of his companions (ra). In an excellent book titled Studies on Religious Cults and Muslim History (Dirasāt al-Furuq wa Tārīkh al-Muslimīn) the writer gathers a number of qualities of the Khawārij, who in the name of piety, do more damage than good. Here are a few. Inshallah, I plan to translate them all in the future.

1. They judge the hearts and intentions of people, holding their assumptions about them to be the truth. Thus, they speak to the objects of their assumptions in wretched ways and treat them with distain. All based on their suspicions, not clear texts or proofs. Thus, the word munfaiq and kafir ooze from their mouths like water from drainage pipes.
2. They distance themselves from the larger body of Muslims, undermining their institutions and leadership
3. They focus on verses of Qur’an and sayings of the Prophet (sa) that contain threats, leaving those of promise and hope
4. They seek to undermine religious scholars and leaders
5. They use the concept of inviting to the good and forbidding the evil to kill and harm the innocent, even Muslims or, at the least, mistreat them.
6. They will help the Dajāl. When Sayyidunā ‘Ali (ra) had eliminated them, a person said, “All praise be to God, who by their elimination has given rest to his servants.” Sayyidunā ‘Ali responded, “Nay! There are still remnants of them in the loins of men. They will fight with the Dajāl.”
7. They love the Sunna until it fails to agree with their desires
8. Their worship is plentiful and their fashion for faith high, but they are the “worst of creation” and the “dogs of hell,” as noted in an authentic hadith of our beloved Prophet (sa).
9. They do more to harm the truth in the name of truth, pushing people in droves away from the light of Allah (swt).
10. They have a sickness in their heart that causes them to lust for power and control, using religion has a gown to cover their illness. This is in the hadith of Abu Umāma (I will translate soon; inshallah) where the Prophet (sa) describes them as such.

Each of these points is supported by authentic hadīth and explanations of Quranic verses by the salaf.
