Be wise and choose wisely.
May Allah Give us righteous spouses and children who are the coolness of our eyes.
Do you know why it’s important for parents to be righteous, and the context of this verse ‘and their father had been righteous’?
This verse is in Surah Al Kahf, and in it Allaah tells us how He sent Khidr with Musa a.s to fix a wall that belonged to orphans, who had no idea that two of the best men in the world were doing something for them that would Protect them, because Allah had sent them for that express purpose!
‘And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the city, and there was beneath it a treasure for them, and their father had been righteous. So your Lord intended that they reach maturity and extract their treasure, as a mercy from your Lord.’- Surah Al Kahf.
Choose a righteous spouse and work righteousness yourself so that Allah Will Protect and Bless all your descendents in ways you cannot imagine, iA.
Book 32, Number 6180:
Abu Huraira reported that a person came to Allah,’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) and said : Who among the people is most deserving of a fine treatment from my hand ? He said : Your mother. He again said : Then who (is the next one) ? He said: Again it is your mother (who deserves the best treatment from you). He said: Then who (is the next one) ? He (the Holy Prophet) said : Again, it is your mother. He (again) said: Then who? Thereupon he said: Then it is your father. In the hadith transmitted on the authority of Qutalba, there is no mention of the word “the people”.
As that which is hidden from you is the Paradise, the Hell-Fire, the angels, the damsels of Paradise, the act of resurrection and that which comes after it. All of those things are hidden from you and you believe in them.
The second type of hidden matters is that which you have hidden yourself from O-servant! and that is the Ḥaḍra (presence) of Allāh-Taʿālā. The Ḥaḍra of Allāh-Taʿālā is not absent; it is omnipresent and closer to you than anything else. If you fail to find this Ḥaḍra, then you are the one who is absent, not the Ḥaḍra.~

When many Muslims think of Ramadan they can remember beautiful moments spent together as a family: eating suhoor1 and iftar2 , bustling into the car to make it to the masjid for taraweeh (late night congregational prayer), celebrating Eid together. Yet speaking to some reverts will reveal the deep sense of loneliness they can experience at iftar3 or on Eid day. This series had initially been intended for any revert brothers or sisters experiencing loneliness during Ramadan. However as I came to realise, this feeling of loneliness is not restricted to reverts or the month of Ramadan, so I hope it will be of benefit to whomever and whenever they feel utterly alone. Insha’Allah (God willing) this series will provide just 10 ayat (verses) to reflect upon from the Book of Allah, a Mercy, Healing, and source of Peace for the believers.

My initial article on Inglot’s breathable nail polish was welcomed by many and severely critiqued by others. One of the main criticisms was that the experiment conducted by one of my students was inaccurate and could not be repeated with success. There were many people who reported successful results while several others who documented failure. Obviously, there are several variables that could lead to the experiment not working as it should. Many of us spend a good portion of our Ramadan nights with our hands raised in du`a’ (supplication), listening to the heart-felt words of our imam or shaykh calling on Allah in the witr prayer. For those of us who don’t speak Arabic, it is a time when we often long to understand the meaning of the words being said with such evident intensity and feeling. It is for this reason that we would like to present a beautiful du`a’ of Shaykh Muhammad Jebril of Cairo, Egypt – said at the completion of his recitation of the Qur’an in Ramadan1 – accompanied by an English translation. The messengers and prophets he sent were great examples of how to manifest our love for Him. When the heart is ready to give up and the soul cannot be burdened with one more pain, remembering the Source of ourselves makes it easier, doable, and the seemingly impossible, possible.
Recently, I had the honor of training a group of emerging young Muslim leaders and I thought of three points that resonated for me whenever I have the opportunity of engaging with future, current and elder leaders of my community.
What are three pieces of advice I wish I had heard when I was embarking on my activism?
The justice of occupation:

Almighty Allah bestowed the human beings with a lot of Blessings, gifts, skills etc and bestowed him the title “Ashraf al-Makhlukat” (The Supreme Creature or the crown of the creations). Allah has bestowed mankind both with this ‘worldly life’ and with ‘life hereafter’. This ‘worldly life’, according to the Quran,
This is a true story of a Niqabi sister in France After picking groceries in the supermarket, the Niqabi sister stood in the line to pay. After few minutes, her turn came up at the checkout counter. The checkout girl who was non Hijabi Arab Muslim girl started to scan the items of the Niqabi sister one buy one and then she looked at her with arrogance and said:”we have in France many problems,…… … your Niqab is one of them!!
