How to Ask Allah swt?

Rasulullah (salAllahu alaihi wasallam) said: “When anyone of you appeals to Allah for something, he should ask with determination and should not say, ‘YA Allah, if You wish, give me,’ for nobody can force Allah to do something against His Will.” [Sahih Bukhari]

Allah (subhanahu wata’ala) will give according to His Will, when and what He knows to be best for you. One should have the attitude of begging goodness from Allah (subhanahu wata’ala).
If your wishes are not granted in this life then you will be given your wishes in the form of good deeds on the Day of Judgement. So you always win by asking from Allah (subhanahu wata’ala).

People get irritated when you keep making requests from them. But Allah (subhanahu wata’ala) dislikes it when people don’t make requests from Him and they don’t ask Him for anything.

To not ask Allah (subhanahu wata’ala) for good things is to be ungrateful towards Him. He wants to give us, so then we shouldn’t have the attitude of not caring to receive what Allah (subhanahu wata’ala) wants to give.
Suppose you had bought a lovely doll house for your daughter, or a great gift for your son and you asked him or her whether they would like to receive the surprises you had ready for them. How would you feel if their response were, “Well, you can give it to me if you want to”?

Ask Allah (subhanahu wata’ala) seriously, from the bottom of your heart, for the good things that you want. Don’t recite duas, ask of Allah (subhanahu wata’ala) through your duas.
