Hadith of the day- Following Sunnah is way to the Jannah

10339630_487163444750109_1185005568181861210_n

Narrated Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said: “All my followers will enter Paradise except those who refuse.” They (the people) asked: “Who will refuse?” He (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me is the one who refuses (to enter it).”

[Sahih Al-Bukhari, the book of holding Fast to the Quran & the Sunnah, Hadith: 7280]

عن أبي هريرة أن رسول الله صلی الله عليه وسلم قال کل أمتي يدخلون الجنة إلا من أبی قالوا يا رسول الله ومن يأبی قال من أطاعني دخل الجنة ومن عصاني فقد أبی

Let us revive a forgotten Sunnah

The Messenger of Allah said: ‘Whoever revives a Sunnah of mine, which people then act upon, will have a reward equivalent to that of those who act upon it, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest. And whoever introduces an innovation (Bid’ah) that is acted upon, will have a burden of sins equivalent to that of those who act upon it, without that detracting from the burden of those who act upon it in the slightest.’
Insha Alah we will begin together this series of reminding each other with one of the forgotten Sunun and later try to expose A Bid’ah (an innovation).
Well, let me begin with one Sunnah:

Narrated Mu’adh ibn Anas:
The Prophet (saws) said:
If anyone puts on a garment and says:
“Praise be to Allah Who has clothed me with this and provided me with it through no might and power on my part,” he will be forgiven his former and later sins.

My method for this treatise has been not to quote except what is authentic from the hadeeth of Rasoolullah (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) – if Allaah wishes – ordering it according to the order of the Wudoo of Rasoolullah (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam), and I have commented on some of the points about which there is difference of opinion – stating that which is correct therefrom in our view after replying to the other opinions.

by : Muhammad Salih al-Munajjid
There are many teaching methods with different means and aids. Correcting mistakes is one of these teaching methods and educationalists call is the “…remedial method.” Correcting people’s mistakes is essential if teaching people is the aim. Correcting mistakes is a divine method the Prophet (pbuh) practiced as the Qur’an was sometimes revealed to correct some mistakes of the Sahabah (companions of the Prophet).

How can one develop in their heart love of Prophet Muhammad more than anything else in the world?

1521614_595240253888458_830308115_nHow can one develop in their heart love of Prophet Muhammad more than anything else in the world?.
The strength of love for the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is connected to the Muslim’s faith. When his faith increases, his love for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) increases. Loving the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is an act of… obedience to Allaah and a means of drawing closer to Him. Loving the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is one of the obligatory duties in Islam.  Read the rest of this entry

Sunnah or Bid’ah – How Can We Tell? Dr. Bilal Philips

960176_237940536364026_529236347_nHow can we tell if a certain worship is innovated in Islam? what is the way to distinguish between a Sunnah and a Bid’ah?

When we come back to Tawhid and Ibadah, worshipping Allah by maintaining His unity in that worship, we do so in the way that the companions of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him) did.

We do not invent or introduce new ways of worship, as some people for example; they want to celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace and blessings be upon him). So they say, “this is something good”. They may even bring a verse from the Quran. They will say, “Allah said in the Quran, ‘Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.'” [Noble Quran 33:56] They bring this verse out. Read the rest of this entry

Each worship has a quality and manner demonstrated by Allah or by His prophet peace be upon him. So the writer of this message said in the introduction: “This is a brief about the manner of praying of the prophet introduced to each Muslim to try hard to follow him for the saying of the prophet “Pray as you have seen me praying.” narrated by Bukhari.

Why should one believe in Muhammad (SAWS)?

1) Muhammad (PBUH) was born with no silver spoon in his mouth. His life began with infinitesimal support. His father had died before he was born. His mother dies by the time he was six years old. He was doubly orphaned at this tender age, his grandfather Abdul Muttalib took charge of him, but he too died within three years. As soon as he was able, Muhammad (PBUH) began to look after his uncle’s sheep and goats. Contrast this poor, double orphaned Arab child with no formal education (Allaah calls him “The Unlettered Prophet” in the Noble Qur’aan) with some of the great religious personalities that preceded him, and you must marvel at what destiny had in store for him!1384133_549382431802083_1865795661_n Read the rest of this entry

How to express our Love for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ?

wear clean and beautiful clothes but avoid pride

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Whoever has pride in his heart equal to the weight of a mustard seed shall not enter Paradise.” Someone asked, “A person likes to wear beautiful clothes and fine shoes.” He replied, “Allah is beautiful and likes beauty. Pride means rejecting the truth and looking down on other people.” [Sahih Muslim]

and about cleanliness,

Abu Malik at-Ash’ari Radi Allah Anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sal-allahu- alleihi-wasallam ) said: Cleanliness is half of faith and al-Hamdu Liliah (Praise be to Allah) fills the scale, and Subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah) and al-Hamdu Liliah (Praise be to Allah) fill upwhat is between the heavens and the earth, and prayer is a light, and charity is proof (of one’s faith) and endurance is a brightness and the Holy Qur’an is a proof on your behalf or against you. All men go out early in the morning and sell themselves, thereby setting themselves free or destroying themselves.

Analysis on visiting the Grave of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)

261840_215591768476646_100000774720504_547844_1675891_n
Every believer has a desire to visit the Blessed Grave of Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) during his life time. Some even spend their entire earning just to have a glimpse of it. But unfortunately some people from the minority sect have started corrupting the innocent minds of the Muslim Ummah and thereby misleading them with false information. These extremists declare the act of traveling to visit the Blessed Grave of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) as Biddah (bad Innovation) and Haraam. This was propagated by Ibn Taymiyyah whose verdict Imam Ibn Hajr al Asqalani (rh) rightly refutes.

Who was the most generious person ?

Ibn ‘Abbas reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) was the most generous of people in charity, but he was generous to the utmost in the month of Ramadan. Gabriel (peace be upon him) would meet him every year during the month of Ramadan until it ended, and Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) recited to him the Qur’an; and when Gabriel met him Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) was most generous in giving charity like the blowing wind. Muhammad S.A.W is listed as “Greatest Law Giver” In USA supreme court

221998_365005320242845_1757064114_nHere is what the US Supreme Court’s website says about this frieze:

… Muhammad (c. 570 – 632) The Prophet of Islam. He is depicted holding the Qur’an. The Qur’an provides the primary source of Islamic Law. Prophet Muhammad’s teachings explain and implement Qur’anic principles. The figure above is a well-intentioned attempt by the sculptor, Adolph Weinman, to honor Muhammad, and it bears no resemblance to Muhammad. Muslims generally have a strong aversion to sculptured or pictured representations of their Prophet.

In the year in which the frieze of Prophet Muhammad was erected, Franklin D. Roosevelt was president, and Charles Evans Hughes was the Chief Justice. It is not known how the court deliberated on this architectural contribution. No one at that time thought it inappropriate to include Prophet Muhammad as one of the greatest lawgivers of the world at the chambers of the United States Supreme Court. This was despite the fact that American society at that time was not as diverse as it is today. Women had just acquired the right to vote, and Japanese-Americans were about to be sent to concentration camps.

What did Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) desire? – Islamic life

Praise to be Allah (God), the Lord of the worlds, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful! In sha’Allah (by the will of Allah (SWT)), in this article I’ll expose the hypocrisy of Islamic haters and debunks their false allegations against the noble character of al-habib (the beloved, may Allah’s (SWT) mercy and blessings be upon …him – Prophet Muhammad). Mocking, insulting, rejecting and accusing the Prophets (Peace be upon on them) is not new. It is an old habit of disbelievers. Allah (SWT) is telling Prophet (Peace be upon him) (interpretation of the meaning): “Mocked were (many) Messengers before thee; but the scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked” [6:10] and “And if they reject thee, so were messengers rejected before thee: to Allah go back for decision all affairs” [35:4] and “And if they reject thee, so did their predecessors, to whom came their messengers with Clear Signs, Scripture and the Book of Enlightenment” [35:25].

Give & Accept Gifts Its Sunnah :)

Gift Giving

Hadith Explanation

The Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) used to accept gifts and used to give something in return.” [Sahih Bukhari]

Gift giving increases love and affection among people. For this the gift does not have to be given on a particular occasion or of a particular standard. Whatever is given to promote harmony between Muslims, seeking with this Allah’s Pleasure, will be a source of happiness on the Day of Judgement. The more we love Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) the more we will love His creation and desire to give people good things, good sentiments and good advice.

If we give presents to each other because it is the Sunnah of Allah’s Beloved Messenger and because following his Sunnah will make Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) pleased with us, then this gift giving is praiseworthy. On the other hand, if we give gifts in order to receive something in return, then this type of gift giving will bring us no lasting good. When we give presents in order to show off what we can afford to give, this arrogance invites Allah’s wrath and punishment.

Some other corrupt practices associated with gift giving are: belittling others’ gifts and opening presents in the middle of a gathering of people. When we expose everybody’s gifts to a crowd we risk embarrassing those who had a smaller budget. Some people end up having spent more than they could afford to in order not to be publicly humiliated. All in all we take a practice of love and sincerity and turn it into an ugly competition, creating hardships for our brothers and sisters in Islam. Read the rest of this entry

Authentic Hadiths on Neighbours

33955_islampeace1.wordpress.com_n

Narrated Samurah: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: A neighbour has the best claim to the house or land of the neighbour. – [Sunan Abu Dawood, 1556]

Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: The neighbour is most entitled to the right of pre-emption, and he should wait for its exercise even if he is absent, when the two properties have one road. - [Sunan Abu Dawood, 1557]

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-‘As: Mujahid said that Abdullah ibn Amr slaughtered a sheep and said: Have you presented a gift from it to my neighbour, the Jew, for I heard the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) say: Gabriel kept on commending the neighbour to me so that I thought he would make an heir? - [Sunan Abu Dawood, 2446]

Malik related to me from Ibn Shihab from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “No one should prevent his neighbour from fixing a wooden peg in his wall.” Then Abu Hurayra said, “Why do I see you turning away from it? By Allah! I shall keep on at you about it.” - [Malik Al-Muwatta, Volume 36, Number 32] Read the rest of this entry

Laugh, Play and Joke with your life Partner- Its Sunnah :)

377597_485958218134576_1148020361_n

Aa’isha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates in Sahih Al Bukhari V2/B 15/no.70]:

It was the day of ‘Id, and the Black people were playing with shields and spears; so either I requested the Prophet (peace be upon him) or he asked me whether I would like to see the display. I replied in the affirmative. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) made me stand behind him and my cheek was touching his cheek and he was saying, “Carry on! O Bani Arfida,” till I got tired.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) asked me, “Are you satisfied (Is that sufficient for you)?” I replied in the affirmative and he told me to leave.

The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) always kept his smile with his wives and he used to laugh and please them to make them laugh as well. With all the troubles around him, he used to take his wife Aisha, to the desert and say, “Aisha, lets race!” And she used to race him and win. So, he kept on feeding her meat for a whole week, so she would unassumingly gain weight, until he took her again to the desert and said, “Aisha, let’s race!” At that time, he won and said to her, “This time I won!”.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH): A Mercy to the mankind — (Part- 2/2)

430637_islampeace1.wordpress.com_n

The Prophet’s Care for People With Special Needs

The civilized world has recently paid attention to people with special needs. This started after it had cast aside corrupt, racist theories calling for neglecting them on the false grounds that people with special needs are not of any benefit to the society. A report issued by the United Nations International Labour Organization in 2000 estimated the number of those with special needs to be more than 610 million, out of which 400 million live in developing countries. According to the World Bank’s statistics, this category represents 15 percent of the world’s population.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) : A Mercy to the Mankind — (Part- 1/2)

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the best role model for all humankind. Among his outstanding virtues and characteristics, he was an extraordinary husband, a perfect father, and a unique grandfather. He was also a great statesman, judge, and spiritual leader. His most distinctive quality, however, was the fact that he was a blessing to all in both word and deed. He infused justice, love, and dignity in all those around him. He spread the power of brotherhood to the extent that it became exceptional in human history. Affirming that these grand virtues were bestowed on him by Allah the Almighty and that He prepared His loyal messenger to call for the true religion, is part of one’s belief.
The Qur’an describes the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as merciful and kind to the believers. Allah the Almighty says,
{Now hath come unto you a Messenger from amongst yourselves: it grieves him that ye should
perish: ardently anxious is he over you: to the Believers is he most kind and merciful.)

Brief details about the life of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)

10393_islampeace1.wordpress.com_n
Praise be to Allaah.

Differences and disputes arose among the Children of Israel. They introduced alterations and changes in their beliefs and laws. Thus truth was extinguished and falsehood prevailed, oppression and evil became widespread, and people needed a religion that would establish truth, destroy evil and guide people to the straight path, therefore Allah sent Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) as Allaah said (interpretation of the meaning):

“And We have not sent down the Book (the Qur’aan) to you (O Muhammad, except that you may explain clearly unto them those things in which they differ, and (as) a guidance and a mercy for a folk who believe”

Words of Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam)

Jabir bin ‘Abdullah (Radiya Allahu anhu) reported that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
“Satan erects his throne on water and sends his emissaries among the people. The closest person to him is the person who causes the most Fitnah. One of them (a devil) would come to him and would say, ‘I kept inciting so-and-so, until he said such and such words.’ Iblis says, ‘No, by Allah, you have not done much.’ Another devil would come to him and would say, ‘I kept inciting so-and-so, until I separated between him and his wife.’ Satan would draw him closer and embrace him, saying, ‘Yes, you did well.”
[Recorded by Imam Muslim 4:2167]

Sa’eed ibn Zaid reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “He who wrongly takes a span of land, Allah shall make him carry around his neck seven earths.”

[Sahih Muslim, Book 10, Number 3920]

Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) said, “Whoever has wronged his brother, should ask for his pardon (before his death), as (in the Hereafter) there will be neither a Dinar nor a Dirham. (He should secure pardon in this life) before some of his good deeds are taken and paid to his brother, or, if he has done no good deeds, some of the bad deeds of his brother are taken to be loaded on him (in the Hereafter).
[Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 8, Book 76, Hadith 541] – Narrated Abu Huraira

“The sign of the love of ALLAH is the love of the Qur’an, and the sign of the love of ALLAH and the Qur’an is the love of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and the sign of the Prophet’s love is the love of his sunnah, and the sign of the sunnah’s love is the love of the Hereafter; the sign of the Hereafter’s love is detachment from the worldly life, and the sign of detachment from the worldly life is taking only sustenance needed to attain Paradise in the Hereafter.”

The masnoon dua of Udhiya / Qurbani/Sacrifice

When making Qurbani, place the animal facing the Qibla and recite:
“Verily I have turned my face to that Being who has created the skies and the Earth in the state of the Straight Deen of Ibrahim – and I am not amongst the Mushrikeen. Definitely, my Prayer, my Worship and my living and dying is all for ALLAH, who is the Lord of the worlds, and who has no partner. I have been ordered (all that passed) I am amongst the Muslimeen (the obedient).
O ALLAH this sacrifice is due to You granting us the ability to do so and it is for You”.

Global demonstrations/protest against an anti-Muslim film produced in the United States

It is not strange for a civilization which holds nothing sacred (besides the Holocaust) to make fun of the Prophet of Islam – may God’s peace and blessings be upon him.
The buttons are once again being pushed and Muslims’ feelings are hurt. Consequently, some are angrily lashing out and harming innocent people in their ignorance. However, this is only further distorts the image of Islam which was the intention of those who made that evil film. Let us, instead, follow the prophetic way, and convey the message of Islam positively and with greater vigor, while patiently bearing the harm of our enemies.

Why they Insult our Dear Prophet PBUH?

They often make use of their  media to display their hatred towards Muslims. Sometimes by misquoting our scholars, sometimes by playing ‘blame game’, sometimes by making blasphemous movies to provoke sensitivity of the believers towards Allaah and His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)

They hate the Prophet because he called people to Monotheism, and they are polytheists.

They hate him because he denied the disbelievers claim that God has a wife and a son.

They hate him because he called people towards soft-heartedness, towards….

Ruling on one who insults the Prophet Muhammad PBUH

I heard on a tape that whoever insults the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) should be executed even if he shows that he has repented. Should he be killed as a hadd punishment or because of kufr? If his repentance is sincere, will Allaah forgive him or will he go to Hell and his repentance will be of no avail?

Praise be to Allaah.

The answer to this question may be given by addressing the two following issues:

how to behave with your wife (life partner)?

Allah swt said in the holy Quran;

“And they (women) have rights (over their husbands as regards living expenses) similar (to those of their husbands) over them (as regards obedience and respect) to what is reasonable, but men have a degree (of responsibility) over them. And Allaah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.”

[The Holy Quran, Surah Al-Baqarah 2:228]

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Says that;

“You never spend anything but you will be rewarded for it, even the morsel of food that you lift to your wife’s mouth.” [Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 6352; Muslim, 1628]

and,

“The best of you are those who are the best to their wives, and I am the best of you to my wives.” [Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3895; Ibn Maajah, 1977; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi]

Forgiveness; the sublime Characteristic of Prophet Muhammad PBUH

One of the great qualities of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was that he never took revenge on anyone for personal reasons and always forgave even his firm enemies.

His wife `A ishah reported that Allah s Messenger was not unseemly or obscene in his speech, nor was he loud-voiced in the streets, nor did he return evil for evil, but he would forgive and pardon.

The people of the Quraysh rebuked him, taunted and mocked at him, beat him and abused him. They tried to kill him and when he left for Madinah, they …
